My brother and I stayed there last weekend to attend Festival Presidente. The hotel it is gorgeous, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The bed and the pillows were so comfortable that we didn't even want to leave. The pool is big and it is located on the second floor. I will definitely stay there again.
"Lovley hotel with friendly staff"
This was my first time staying at Sheraton in Santo Domingo. The hotel is very nice and conveniently located with very friendly staff. My only issue was not getting the room I booked at check in and had to switch the next day.
Stayed here six days in October 2017. The room on the 10th floor, that also houses the club lounge, was amazing. From a plate of fruit and flowers within minutes of check-in, to the chocolates on the bed, to the rose petals on the bed, the attention to detail was perfect. In the on-site café/restaurant were some amazing people. Kudos to Ramon, Esterlin, Rosanni, Andres, Pablo and Onalisa. Each of you made me feel at home. In particular, from Day One, Ramon called me by my given name "Mr. Daniel" as if he and I had visited on many occasions. He is quite an asset to the Sheraton name. Never have I gone somewhere and felt so welcome. Thank you Ramon and Esterlin in particular for your constant attention (coffee and juice!). Also, the lobby bar is wonderful. The ladies made me a Caipirina, an Argentinian drink that was new to me. Loved it! Good company all the way around. And the pool! OMG, its the cleanest and best I've seen in the DR. Good job.
"Excellent customer service and property"
I want to give a big shout out to the Sheraton Santo Domingo staff in all departments. Starting with Jennifer in the front desk which helped us immensely in a very difficult situation. I tought Ive lost my wallet when I was giving a homeless some food in the street I got desperate and she was calming me down at all times. With a positive vibe we found my wallet in my friends purse. She help me with all our requests and helped me thru the whole process. The doormen and other agents including Jhonelys Delgado and Mrs Bello always had a pleasant smile for us at all times. The pool staff was great too suggesting a chinola mojito out of this world. The House attendants in the 6th floor rock the house too. They were very attentive to all our needs when we ask for water and towels they were there. To sum it all up the hotel is great and what truly makes it better is their people. kudos to the management team and the GM for what a great team they have in place. Muchas Graciasssssssss Espero volver pronto Glen Wickersham
"Nice Hotel Not the Best Area"
The Hotel is situated in the central area so not much for tourists do in the immediate area nor would I recommend walking in the area alone. Take a cab where ever you need , but avoid the hotel cab since they charge over 75% more than a local. ( I tell u from experience) We later learned and used AERO taxi , cabs are all beat up but it's a quarter of the price thru a legitimate company. We booked Sheraton with the Executive Club level. Well worth it since it saved us from needing to go out at night. This includes unlimited beverages ( bottle water (!important don't drink tab water) soda , cappuccino , coffee etc) from the hours of 5-8 there's a variety of appetizer food , breakfast and includes 2 adult beverages. The service and the undivided attention goes without say. Each night we got greeted by Nelson who hands down made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. He ran the room all on his own and did a phenomenal job!!My trip to DR was a planned event to visit my father's grave site. The only two good things I will take away from my trip was our trip to Zona Colonial and los tres ojos with my family and NELSON Gomez at the Sheraton!! Thank you Nelson for your hospitality and warm welcome. The hotel itself is beautiful and updated and the staff throughout was also very helpful and friendly. The previous review is right on the AC of the gym, hopefully it's fixed soon. The Jacuzzi is also not warm, its regular pool temperature. We also enjoyed morning breakfast at their cafe which again service was great and the food was plentiful. A variety of food was served from traditional to dominican ( mangu, queso frito).
