"Excellent service and food"
The service in the hotel is one of the best. Everyone is very kind, specially Ana Cabrara which was the house keeping lady that cleaned the rooms. She is super happy all the time and very welcoming, it makes you feel you are at home. The rooms on the hotel are showing its age. However the rest of the hotel is very modern since it has been recently remodeled. The sheraton beds are the best and this hotel is not the exception. The beds are fantastic and pillows are like a cloud. Location is very good, in a traffic free area and waterfront. The club lounge was much better than the usual lounge. The food in the evenings and drinks, including the wine were really good. Spg Platinum treatment is really good, I was upgraded to a Suite that was with fruit cheese and delicious nuts and given all of the usual benefits: breakfast, club lounge, fitness center etc. There are a LOT of other free stuff I did not try such as the free ironing, free shoe shine, 30min of oceanfront hydromassage etc. The hotel price is really good. I would highly recommend this place and I would come back again for business or pleasure. Thank you Sheraton team!
the staff was great.I want thank the front desk includin jennifer laudy, carlos,fausto.the hotel was great.pool,food gym were all great.I was there in december and september 2017. The experiance was awsome.There is a casino next door ,if you gamble,and is right on the main road near the water.
- The hotel is constantly being cleaned during the day - Staff is very friendly and professional (if you are alone as a women in the restaurant they might flirt with you which is less comfortable!) - Reception is efficient and do their utter best - Services in the room are very modern, a netflix button on the screen! - the beds: prepare to arrive in heaven - the fitness room is excellent(!!), but can be hot sometimes.
It's comfortable, reasonably priced, well located . . . But it could be anywhere. Nothing in the room reveals you are in the Dominican Republic. Even the lobby lacks identity. Wake in the middle of the night and panic! Why are international chains so utterly bland' And Sheraton, Marriott and Westin are the worst offenders! I had no complaints about the room: spacious, well appointed and comfortable - but utterly lacking in specific identity. I went down to the lobby; a map of the Antilles was a token nod to location but beyond that . . . Nada! Even the restaurant could have been in the deep mid-west! All it needs is some local art, local products in the restaurant and in the rooms and at least we would have an inkling! If you want your hotel stay to be a comfortable transition fro home, choose here. If not - forget it. There are far more interesting and historic places for the same price or less elsewhere.
"Amazing Birthday Holiday"
Quick check in. Jennifer at front desk was truly helpful in organising all my private tours and recommended good restuarant and shopping. It was my birthday and was surprised with a birthday cake, card and balloons delivered to my room All the guys in the lobby provided great service to ensure I had a safe and most pleasant stay. Pedro the taxi driver provided excellent service. The chocolate massage at Amadeus was fantastic.
