"Run for the Hilton or Estaban Plaza, to get what you pay for"
Sheraton WTC did not meet my expectations. The rooms are ok in size, but old and not clean. And I'm not even speaking about the bathroom, which could use some renovation too. The breakfast area is far too small to serve the mass, and the quality of the food barely passes the basics. Probably only when you're a SPG member with sufficient status you will receive the privileges and room which looks like the pictures and meets the class as could be expected from this chain.
I am not sure how this hotel has 4 to 5 stars on all these reputable websites, I'm pretty sure it's a conspiracy. Here's my highlights: - Room is dingy- dark, hasn't been renovated since 1965, carpet is from 1967, it is musty and smells like mold - Wifi is slow as hell. The paid one is a scam- it is no faster than the free one. Do not expect to watch any GIFs, videos, or do work - I am a Sheraton gold member which apparently doesn't give me access to the executive floor. What does it get me, exactly' OMG! THE OPTIONS! 1) one free drink at the bar, or 2) upgraded wifi for my stay which is a scam, or 3) 250 points. What is the point of brand loyalty and status if the reward is literally equivalent of $6 USD' - NO HOT WATER. Three of my coworkers all had the same issue. Hope you enjoy cold showers! - Sink and shower drains flood, do not drain - Bathroom was dirty - Cleaning knocked my Pringles on the floor and put them back in the container thinking I wouldn't notice. After they fell on the nasty carpet Please spare yourself this experience.
"Convenient to World Trade Center Arena"
Convenient location if you have a meeting at the WTC. Fortunate to be a Starwood/Sheraton member, so was put on a floor designated for members. The room was clean, well attended daily and quiet for sleeping. The bed was comfortable. The lobby restaurant wasn't good, the steak I was served was all gristle and tough. However, the L'Atelier restaurant for breakfast was fine and had a nice variety of food with excellent service.

My husband and I am trying to check in at the hotel. For our stay to Monday 11 September 2017. I am a Gold SPG member and had good emails with Theo Barros the concierge before my stay where he sounded so nice and was looking forward to making our stay at the hotel comfortable that it put me at ease given the mixed reviews on tripadvisor. My worse nightmare has come true. The gentleman Marcello is so unfriendly and rude. He says no breakfast and I am showing him my confirmation with breakfast and lounge access. I know we requested early check in and its up to discretion of hotel but what an awful experience. Absolutely shocking
"Consistently high quality"
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel in two years and the experience has been good both times. The staff is always courteous and friendly and most speak English very well. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. The hotel is also conveniently attached to a high-end shopping mall with lots of restaurants to entertain clients. I also like that the location is (relatively speaking) nearby the main thoroughfares. The gym facilities are also nice and well-maintained. A special recognition is appropriate for the bartenders for great service.
