"Decent bed in a grey hotel"
I stayed at this hotel for business in September 2017. First of all location: the hotel is situated about 20 minutes away from Barajas airport and about 15 minutes away from the city centre. So it is actually close to nowhere. The area of the hotel is in next to a residential area but not really many shops or restaurants are around . A good few restaurants like Aranda are on walking distance but the choice is rather limited. So if you are looking to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city I recommend to go closer to the city centre. The hotel itself is quiet difficult to explain as I couldn't get my head around It. The lobby is dated and contains some dark colours which does not make the hotel very vibrant nor funky. I know this hotel profiles itself as a business hotel but I was missing a pinch of salt to make it attractive . Also the outside of the building looks like a bit dreary. However I was pleasantly surprised with the rooms. As you will see on the pictures the rooms were spacious, neat and well equipped with a stuffed minibar, trouser press and LCD TV with English channels. The bathroom was surprisingly big with shower and bath as well as a bidet. Amenities were sufficient and smelled nicely . Another positive personally for me was that was that I was able to black out the room with the curtain in the room. Many hotels have this but it was pitch black dark in the room which made it easy to fall asleep and made me wonder what time it was when I woke up in the morning .The bed itself had a good hard mattress which I enjoyed. Breakfast: breakfast was the only meal I had at the hotel and the quality was rather good and varied. Eggs prepared in different ways, salmon, donuts, strawberries, etc. A decent selection although I didn't find a regular croissant but maybe I didn't look well enough. The breakfast room itself gave me the feeling however of a canteen. Bad lighting and no real atmosphere. an area in the hotel in need of a resuscitation. As a recap, I was rather pleased with the room but the hotel needs a bit of a "Botox" injection to make it just a tad bit more appealing.
I loved this hotel. However, I was kind of disappointed because there was no swimming pool but no matter, it was great anyway. I loved the sunset view from our room, it was beautiful. The hotel is next a bus stop so it is very easy for the transportation.
"Great hotel! Airport transfer!"
My mother and I sadly only stayed at this hotel for one night! The hotel was beautiful and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bathroom looked brand new and the room had a nice big closet! We are very satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to travellers looking for an affordable hotel just outside of the city centre, yet easily accessible by bus, as well as near the airport with a free transfer service!
"great hotel with good service"
We loved our stay in the silken Puerta Madrid hotel. With friendly service from the staff and shuttle bus chauffeur. Our room was one of the cleanest rooms we have ever seen and was cleaned daily. The rooms a great with big bathroom and enough space. The bed was sadly really hard which was a bit of a shame. It's easy to get from the airport to the hotel via the free shuttle bus service. The service also goes to the centre of Madrid several times a day or if you want to be more flexible just use the bus 146. There is a small supermarket and some restaurants near the hotel if you need some groceries or a quick bite. I would advice this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, friendly and good hotel, who don't mind taking the shuttle bus (10-15 minutes) or the regular bus (30-45 minutes) to Madrid centre.
"Nice hotel and quiet place to stay"
Room this time was a weird decoration, they put the tv on a wardrobe that doesn't fit but apart from that bathroom was ok and bed comfortable. Parking if you coming by car has two options private paying to the hotel but Public outside is free.
