"DO NOT STAY HERE! MONEY STOLEN"
My partner and I and 5 other couples came to Madrid for NYE. On the second morning I counted my money and left 300 euros in my purse inside my bag and put it under jumpers in a zipped up case (we couldn't get the safe to work and were in a rush as the rest of our group were waiting for us). Upon our return the money was missing it was very evident that my things had been rummaged through. My partner went to reception to notify them but they didn't seem too bothered. We asked them to look at the CCTV to see which cleaners had been in room, they said they would. We told them we wanted to take it further and we were told they would call us the next morning. 9am the next morning we had a 'wake up call' to the room, this was it nothing else was done. Then the staff had the cheek to say it was impossible to speak to us, not one member of staff attempted to speak to me. We were also told they take no responsibility for any losses, we didn't lose anything our money was stolen! Holiday spoilt by thieving cleaners and rude staff. I've read several reviews since returning home and we are not the first people this has happened to. Avoid at all costs.
"I was expecting more"
I had to stay for one night in Madrid and I choose this design hotel to stay. I have heard comments regarding how careful they were in design each floor. Each flor in the hotel is different and designed by a different well known designer, so the expectation was high. As soon as I get to the hotel, it was a little late because my flight arrived at 11PM I saw a lot of people in a line. I was aware that the hotel had a great rooftop bar and it was clear that it had a big success because there was many people waiting to take the elevator up. I was not going there so I could enter the lobby and reach the reception desk. First, I had to wait around 10 minutes until the receptionist hang up the phone. There was only one person in the reception. After that, the person was very friendly and fast. I went to my room with the expectation of seeing something different and it was, as soon as I leve the elevator I was in some kind of aluminium multi form corridor and it took me 10 seconds to adjust, it was fun. When I enter the room I thought it was good but not great. It was innovative but I can tell you guys that I was expecting a little more. The location is good, close to the subway and as a tip remember that the hotel entrance is right next to the exit of the highway. The hotel tries to show a trendy and cool atmosphere but the rooms are just ok in my opinion, I would not comeback to the hotel.
"Such a great hotel!"
We had some problems in the airport so my day was pretty pissed off, but when i get to the hotel, with the transfer service, everything changed and we had such a great time. The room is big, pretty cleaned and has a nice view. I just LOVED IT so much, i couldnt get out of the room in our connection lol. Will surely come back to SIlken hotels, they are great.
We stay here 3 nights. We made reservation by booking and also free transfer from airport to hotel.(15 minutes from airport) The breakfast was delicious, a lots of variation of foods. room was quiet, clean, there were also "kit dental"(tooth brush and toothpaste). We were on 5th floor, at night we havent hear anyone, it was quiet time for sleep.
"Clean and good value "
Single night here to visit a local client. Location was particularly good for me as had literally 5 minutes walk to my meeting. Service was good, with English well spoken. Room was spacious, well decorated and clean. Ate in the restaurant which had a selection of local cuisine and some good wine. Would stay here again.
