"It's a place pretty much out of the way..."
...which justifies the Value/Cost ratio. The place is just average in everything. The beds are not that comfortable, the hotel lacks amenities, no coffee or tea in the room, the attention is not proactive at all, even if, once you reach their attention, it becomes good and very professional.
"Four Floors, Private Courtyard, you hardly know you are in a city!"
Reception: Warm greeting from staff every day and especially from Franc who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. (10 days). Some staff speak English and French. Although the staff where quite happy for us to practice our Spanish on them! Location: I picked this hotel because it was only 4 floors high and had a lovely looking courtyard and garden and was in a central location for sightseeing. Accommodation: We had 2 rooms, one double, one twin and both were spotlessly clean, with plenty of fresh towels, T.V. fridge, hairdryer, safe and air conditioning. Note: No tea and coffee making facilities however lovely coffee available at the bar and there was a couple of decanters of juice in reception. Our room was perhaps a bit small but was adequate for what we needed. There is a lift but we tended to use the stairs which seemed to be made from a lovely marble. Breakfast: The courtyard was where we had a breakfast nearly every day although we sometimes used the restaurant. It was varied with Spanish omelette, fried, boiled or scrambled eggs, selection of sausages, hams, cheeses, breads, cereals, yogurts, teas and coffee etc. It was very good value for 7.5 euros each. Bar: Throughout the day meals could be purchased from the bar. The bar opens out into the front garden and it is a very pleasant area to sit in under the palm trees. Additional service: they provided maps of the city and also towels for the beach. Additional information: it is quicker to walk than take a bus anywhere. We tended to walk to wherever we wanted to go and take a taxi back. Eg from the beach it was about 8 euros depending on the time of day and how busy the traffic was. Shops: On the same street as the hotel there are a variety of shops, restaurants and bakeries. From the entrance of the hotel to the left about 7 min walk is Lidl and to the right similarly a Consum supermarket. Parking: The hotel has an underground car park 3 euros per hour or 10 euros per day, as at the time of our visit. The only thing that this hotel lacks is a swimming pool to cool off in!!! Otherwise good value for money.
Had two nights in Valencia and stayed at this hotel. Very pleasant and helpful staff especially on reception. Had a room up in the roof with a vulux window which was a bit strange but got to like it over the couple of days. Breakfast was ok. Best thing was that the hotel had underground parking well worth 10 euros a day as have never seen so many cars in one city and parking is a nightmare.
"Great hotel in a great place"
Used this hotel for a city trip to Valencia. Reception was very professional, friendly and helpful. The gentleman was fluent in English and gave us useful tips and a map to visit Valencia. Room was spacious, clean and pleasant. Airco and very quiet. Breakfast excellent. This hotel has a small but nice garden when one can sit and have a drink. Location on the avenida del Port is between the sea side and the old city center. Plenty of small restaurants in the neighborhood. Garage with free space to put the bikes. We can recommend this hotel highly.
Location is the plus point for this hotel; Breakfast was good spread ; The staff was cordial and agreed to change our room due to some noise in the AC ; They also agreed to extend our check out time by an hour as our flight was late in the evening ; Recommended due to availability of many restaurants and easy accessibility
