We had a lovely room in this hotel which was on two levels and the room was to the back of the hotel so it was nice and quiet at night. hotel staff were very helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was a good selection but would recommend choosing your time for breakfast as the room is not big enough during busy times.
"Average hotel on a noisy street"
We stayed a week in Checkin Valencia. Our first night was in a room at the front side of the hotel. The traffic comes in waves through the green traffic lights and this made our first night a very noisy experience. In the evening the amount of traffic is less, compared to daytime, but from 5 o'clock in the morning on, the noise is very annoying. The next nights we stayed in a room at the backside, which was really quiet. The size of the room and bathroom is fine, but no coffee or tea facilities and other amenities one might expect from a 4-star hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff.
"A oase of silence"
We liked that hotel, because it is nice to stay there with beautiful rooms, the food is good and a lot of variety... The persons who work there are very kind & friendly. The distance for taking the bus or metro is ideal.
"It's a place pretty much out of the way..."
...which justifies the Value/Cost ratio. The place is just average in everything. The beds are not that comfortable, the hotel lacks amenities, no coffee or tea in the room, the attention is not proactive at all, even if, once you reach their attention, it becomes good and very professional.
"Four Floors, Private Courtyard, you hardly know you are in a city!"
Reception: Warm greeting from staff every day and especially from Franc who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. (10 days). Some staff speak English and French. Although the staff where quite happy for us to practice our Spanish on them! Location: I picked this hotel because it was only 4 floors high and had a lovely looking courtyard and garden and was in a central location for sightseeing. Accommodation: We had 2 rooms, one double, one twin and both were spotlessly clean, with plenty of fresh towels, T.V. fridge, hairdryer, safe and air conditioning. Note: No tea and coffee making facilities however lovely coffee available at the bar and there was a couple of decanters of juice in reception. Our room was perhaps a bit small but was adequate for what we needed. There is a lift but we tended to use the stairs which seemed to be made from a lovely marble. Breakfast: The courtyard was where we had a breakfast nearly every day although we sometimes used the restaurant. It was varied with Spanish omelette, fried, boiled or scrambled eggs, selection of sausages, hams, cheeses, breads, cereals, yogurts, teas and coffee etc. It was very good value for 7.5 euros each. Bar: Throughout the day meals could be purchased from the bar. The bar opens out into the front garden and it is a very pleasant area to sit in under the palm trees. Additional service: they provided maps of the city and also towels for the beach. Additional information: it is quicker to walk than take a bus anywhere. We tended to walk to wherever we wanted to go and take a taxi back. Eg from the beach it was about 8 euros depending on the time of day and how busy the traffic was. Shops: On the same street as the hotel there are a variety of shops, restaurants and bakeries. From the entrance of the hotel to the left about 7 min walk is Lidl and to the right similarly a Consum supermarket. Parking: The hotel has an underground car park 3 euros per hour or 10 euros per day, as at the time of our visit. The only thing that this hotel lacks is a swimming pool to cool off in!!! Otherwise good value for money.
