"Good Value For Money!!"
Team members were friendly and courteous.,They made me feel comfortable and were able to answer any questions I had. Great Value for money. I would stay at this hotel in the future and definitely recommend to family and friends
"Business Trip with Colleges"
I had recommended this hotel and had stayed there a couple of years back. The experience was nothing like the past and frankly I was embarrassed I had recommended this hotel. The rooms are in need of renovation, they feel old and out-dated (some rooms are better than others). The restaurant staff was rude and didn't offer us any "last call" and brought the check while we were eating. We asked for another round of drinks and we were informed they were closed. We would have ordered a bottle of wine or another round of drinks earlier had we known. The manager seemed totally uninterested in providing a better experience and the server just wanted to give us our check and leave. They charge an automatic 19% gratuity, so I guess there is no incentive to provide good service.
The conference offerings met my expectations. The restaurant and pool provided a nice ambiance and location to relax. However the pool and restaurant service was very slow. My room was came with a kitchenette which was nice but the room decor, tiling, lighting etc made it feel dated and less relaxing because of that. I did wake up one morning with bug bites all over my legs and I had spent about 90% of my time in the hotel so this concerned me but never did I see any insects in my rooms.
"Nice location- dining and bar were a disappointment "
The location was ideal for our friend’s’ Miami wedding. The concierge and lobby were nice and clean. The bell boy/concierge was very helpful and friendly. Probably the only friendly face we saw during our three day visit. The elevators took forever and half of them were broken. Our toilet got clogged during our stay too. My worse criticism is for the restaurant and restaurant/bar staff. For the two of us to eat a plain average no frills buffet breakfast with one coffee it cost us $50. I worked many years in upscale hotels (including The W Hotel in LA and Orlando’s Velvet at the Hard Rock Hotel) & was disappointed in the service provided at Sonesta’s bar and ridiculous prices. When we met some friends there in the evening we were going to hang out for awhile, but the staff was extremely rude to some of our party and even neglected to seat one of our party nor asked them for their order. Instead, two of the waitresses stood next to our table and unprofessionally spoke loudly about part of our group. They lost our business immediately and we left for another bar. If you go to Sonesta don’t expect polite staff at the restaurant.
"Wait wait wait for elevators...and then wait more!"
Hotel and condo building. Standard room. Easy check-in. Nice lobby. Pool and deck on 8 th floor with west sun. $30 parking is way excessive even for Miami. Horrible elevators. Plan on 10 minute wait minimum. Talking to owners they told me it’s standard and frustrating for them too. Excellent restaurants nearby as well as 15 minute walk to the marina. (Stayed here prior to Nassau race) Below average cause of elevator waiting.
