"Spectacular views and comfortable rooms."
Our one night at the hotel was memorable for the incredible views the restaurant offers. Thd wine was delicious and the sommelier very helpful. The hotel is stylish and comfortable, the rooftop pool and bar area are beautiful.
I was visiting Athens with friends. I stayed at this hotel on three separate occasions. Each time I was given a room that was unacceptable Each time I refused the room, I was given another that was equally unacceptable. One time the room was so small that I could not leave my suitcases open and walk around in the room. Another time the room had an air conditioner in the wall that was covered with a think layer of dirt. I finally settled one time for a room which had beat up furniture, but had a good air conditioner. I would never recommend this hotel based on the treatment that I received.
"great view of the city"
Beautiful view of the city from the pool and the restaurant. Rooms are not well maintained, I chose a standard room and it was extremely small and for sure not a 5 star hotel! Breakfast was ok. Nice neighbor
"Beautiful view, ugly service"
After two blissful weeks on the Greek Isles and a few other countries, I knew not many places in the world could match the hospitality, design and service. Even with my lowered expectations, I found everything except the front desk staff completely disappointing. The mornjng breakfast service was delish but incredibly disorganized and the staff was rude and imcopetent. There are no instructions for seating, tables take ages to be cleared and cleaned (after waiting 10 minutes I just sat -and ate!- at a dirty table. Eventually I was asked if I wanted a coffee to which I said yes and was brought a pitcher but no cup. The waiter, rather than be apolgetic, looked at me with contempt when I requested the mug. Later that day, I asked the concierge for restaurant recommendations- she asked if I tried the restaurant upstairs, which felt slightly off to me - but I get she is probably supposed tonsay that as a hotel employee. I said it wasnt my vibe and she said I should take a walk around the neighborhood and read menus. OK, but you are a concoerge at a four star hotel, I'm not at an air bnb.... she was dismissive and rude and I've never had a hotel concierge say that to me in my life of travelling. I was funing when I left the hotel, called to speak to the manager at around 4:30pm but he left for the day and the person I spoke to said that he was "sorry for the misunderstanding." There was no misunderstanding. She knows her job and i'm not her first english speaking guest (who did greet and thank her in Greek). As I checked out the next morning at 8:30, the manager still had not arrived and the front desk said, "as you are prepaid, there isn't so much we can do anyway." Wow. I stormed out of that hotel, offended again. I wasn't looking for a discount - I was looking for a sincere apology. I should thank them for making it so easy to leave Greece after a trip that made me want to apply for dual citizenship. Two last things - the matresses are terrible plastic hollow things and I slept on the pillows - and if you have a room that has been renovated, be careful of the showers - the water pours out the side in certain shower head modes.
"Vacuum Cleaning at 08.00 am"
The hotel was very noisy. The walls were very tiny. We were talking with our friend staying next to our room through the wall!!!! House cleaning was very clean and decided to start cleaning at 08.00 am, on saturday and sunday morning. Also the street was very noisy! Thebeds are unfomfotable, the rooms are in poor condition, definitely needs renovation. It is not a 5 star hotel nor a boutique hotel. Maybe 3 star'! The best thing about the hotel was the location.
