"Back after 15 years"
I had been a guest at this property when it was run by Conrad. It was in June, 2002, and the experience was delightful. I mentioned in my reservation communication that I was returning with my husband for our tenth wedding anniversary, and he also mentioned this when we checked in to your hotel. While your staff were professional, we experienced none of the charm and warmth I experienced on my first trip. An exception was the day concierge (regrettably I do not recall his name), who helped us arrange a car to the Midi train station, as well as clarified details of the train schedule to Amsterdam. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. And when we noticed that our water kettle did not work, it remedied promptly, which we appreciated. The first day of our brief trip a conference of bankers descended on the hotel, and I'm sure you were all very busy with that. While that may be an excuse for our somewhat perfunctory treatment, it is not a good reason.
"Very good hotel"
Great service, clean room and lovely breakfast. We enjoyed the time staying in Brussels. When you leave the hotel you find shops, restaurants and bars nearby and when you walk a few minutes you have a great view at Brussels
"Great Stay at the Wiltcher's!"
It was a great place to stay and we totally enjoyed it. The location great, minutes walking to core shopping area; the staff great, very friendly and helpful, gave good recommendation for restaurants; the room spacious even for a family with toddler running around. Highly recommended to anyone who's visiting Brussels.
We stayed there this weekend and it was truly a joy. Super friendly staff, valet parking, amazing room with a very good boxspring mattress, fantastic bathroom, fast elevators and a breakfast that rivals any other 5-star hotel I stayed in before. Your hotel made me learn to visit and appreciate Bruxelles, a city I never really liked very much. Thank you for that.
"Centrally placed, needs some improvement"
The hotel gives a feeling of grandeur, is greatly located and has very nice common use rooms (lobby, meeting rooms, etc.) The rooms themselves are ample, well organized, simply decorated but with a sense of class. It all gives out an air of lucury with class. That is why I was negatively surprised by the breakfast service: the buffet was definitely not at the level of 5-star hotel (the same chain hotel in Frankfurt, say) and the service left a lot to be desired. Though one may overcome the variety of things offered (e.g. no muesli, no white low-fat yoghurt, only small pots of the industrial type, limited choice of jams), it is not acceptable at this level to wait for coffee for over 20' without anyone being interested in asking you or offering tohelp you ! Yound waiters seemed a little bit lost on a midweek morning (not the busiest of days), wandering right and left senselessly. The simple butter croissants, though, are excellent (only second to top notch French hotels) !
