"Best hotel stay we have had for a long time"
Perfect location, great hotel, amazing staff. Service was second to none. Breakfast was excellent: great quality and variety. The breakfast hall was one of the most pleasant I've ever been to. All in all, an amazing stay. Will definitely go back when I'm in Berlin.
"Great hotel, superb service"
Travelled to Berlin from Australia (a 26 hour journey), and arrived at 10:00 am. Had booked a suite, and was so very grateful that we were immediately booked in. Stayed for 7 days and couldn't fault the service provided by all staff. Bed was so very comfortable, and room was large and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fresh and was closely supervised by the restaurant staff to ensure supply and freshness. Location is great - although windows have to be closed at night because of the traffic noise. Air conditioning works well so not a problem. Would return in an instant.
We would recommend this hotel for many reasons. These include the staff which where very friendly and helpful on our arrival. The location of the hotel and all the facilities in the rooms. These included tea and coffee making equipment and a safe. The rooms was very clean and provided all necessary toiletries we required. No complaints Thankyou for making our holiday enjoyable
My wife and I had previously stayed at the Swissotel in Berlin. Our previous stay was in 2013 for 3 nights (IIRC). This time we stayed for five nights in July 2017 and that says it all so far as we are concerned! Once again we found the hotel absolutely first class. Of four major hotels in three capital cities (Vienna, Prague and Berlin) plus Dresden the Swissotel was not only the best priced but also at least equal to and better in many ways than higher priced hotels in Vienna, Prague and Dresden. The room and bathroom were both spotlessly clean and large. There was a coffee machine (as others have mentioned) and oodles of storage, working and leisure space . There was a choice of pillows and the room and bathroom were well lit and the airconditioning worked. There was both a bath and a separate shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was magnificent with both linen serviettes and a toaster that actually worked properly and bread that was capable of being toasted. Both the working toaster and the toastable bread are a rarity in Europe in our experience. They are one way we (jokingly) measure hotel quality. Staff were friendly and helpful and, to sum up we wanted for nothing. If we are ever fortunate enough to be in Berlin again we would look no further than the Swissotel. There would be few hotels where the average tourist could not find something to complain about but the Swissotel is one such hotel in our experience. Excellent in every way.
Located centrally in the heart of West Berlin, the Swissotel is tucked away on a quiet side street just off the main shopping boulevard of Kurfurstendamm. I spent four nights here in early May and enjoyed the ambiance, the art and the friendly service of the Swissotel. Designed around an outside atrium with painted cow sculptures, I was always amused to see the cows when I used the lifts to and from my room. My room was spacious, very comfortable, extremely quiet and I had a wonderful night's sleep each night. Breakfast each morning was in a large restaurant with views of the busy streets outside and a large and very attractive terrace was used for outdoor dining and special events. It was just a little too chilly at this time of year to have breakfast outside. The main feature was a large and colourful mural painted by a famous Berlin artist, however, despite my enquiries, nobody could tell me the name of this artist. The breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh with a wide range of beautifully presented cold and cooked foods. I requested a green juice and it was wonderful but an extra cost. Because everyone uses the excellent public transport in Berlin, each morning the staff would tell me how to get to my destination using either the train or the bus which was very close by and the best and most cost-effective way to get around the city.
