Stayed for 4 nights in a premium room. Room size was big but did had 2 twin beds joined to make a double bed which was a negative. Had enough sockets etc. Wifi was free but limited speed and was sometimes very slow. The bathroom was ok and shower was good too although the bathroom style and look seemed very old. Breakfast was good too, had enough variety such as eggs, pancakes, yoghurts and cheese etc. The location right across the river is very good and the rheinpark center mall is behind the hotel on 5min walk which is a plus as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful throughout. Overall a good experience.
"A good business hotel for exhibition people"
We are joining this hotel at all important exhibitions in Düsseldorf. Even it is very expensive at this times, we enjoy the rooms and the breakfast. The stuff serves the customer perfectly and we will come back.
"A hotel forgotten in the 1970's"
Just had to stay here again and must say this is the absolutely worst hotel of this chain I know. The owners must have forgotten this place. Staff is SUPER unfriendly and in addition just tell you anything just to get rid of you. The rooms have furniture in there from 1970's and no investment done after that. And last but not least the Wireless Internet is absolutely crap - in the room zero speed and in the lobby does not connect at all. This place is an absolute waste of space.
"Good location/Nice Hotel"
The hotel is nice, room was clean and staff were friendly. Very nice to have a mini-fridge in the room. Kettles have not yet been put in rooms as was indicated in response to a prior comment let in March. The breakfast buffet provides a good selection, while the restaurant and room service menu provide very limited choices. The rooms are starting to get dated, i.e.; the top of the desk was showing a lot of wear and tear. The gym is very small and equipment is not the same as shown in the pictures on their website. Picture shows treadmill, bike, cross trainer/elliptical and weight machine, however there was no cross trainer/elliptical but 3 bikes, not a good variety of equipment for a hotel of this stature.
"Convenient business hotel with added bonus of indoor swimming pool"
Swissotel Neuss is a decent business hotel located right next to the river Rhine in Neuss, a short drive from both the Neuss & Düsseldorf industrial/business districts. There is a long tree-lined promenade along the bank of the river which is frequented by lots of cyclists & runners, ideal for a bit of diversion. The hotel also has an indoor swimming pool as well as a sauna which is a great bonus for downtime in the evenings. Service is perfectly friendly & adequate, the room seems to have been recently renovated & was spotlessly clean. While I did not have dinner at the hotel the food at the breakfast buffet was absolutely outstanding, wide variety, great quality & a breakfast chef making ready-to-order egg dishes. I know breakfasts are generally very good in this type of city/business hotel in Germany but Swissotel to me really did go the extra mile. A small crib about the parking costs, there was very limited on street parking & the adjacent car park charged 19 Euro/day which seemed a bit steep given that this is not a city centre location.
