"Very good experience in Osaka"
Very good service during my stay. Convenient for shoping and transport as the shopping mall is within the same building. Also the train station also JR is at B1 and 3/F, very convenient for travalors to the airport and also going around. Room is clean. Breakfast is on 36/F, good quality and the view is perfect. All stafffs are very warmed to provide service and extended their help for your requirement.
I am going to check-in tomorrow for following five days. Even though I am in travelling in such a busy period of the city, I feel so prevailaged to stay in Swissotel nankai with their advance advise and great facilitation to ensure our upcoming trip is fully supported. The hotel was fully booked for its great location and good comments, and now during this time I was requesting a baby cot and some room with pantry for our easy baby sitting. Even though we are not guaranteed to have this reservation but I was well informed in their fluent English, and I feel they are really trying their best. Now I am so looking forward to stay in this comfortable hotel to explore the vibrant Osaka city.
"Top Notch Service in Japan!"
It was our first time visiting Japan and I can easily say that the quality of customer service is spectacular. The agents were attentive once we walked into the reception area and one of the ladies kindly guided us to the correct check-in desk. Amenities were thoroughly explained. We did not had the chance to explore the hotel as much as we would have liked to because of time restraints and was out for most of the stay. The only reason why this review is 4/5 and not 5/5 is because of the room's overall condition. Carpet looks to be heavily soiled and old and the walls can be repainted a bit... Other than that, our stay was splendid. Thank you Swissotel Nankai Osaka for a memorable stay.
"Convenient location, airport express access, ultra helpful English-speaking staff"
The Swissotel Nankai Namba is located just three floors (6th) above the Nankai Namba train station (3rd floor) where we arrived via the Rapi:t Limited Express train from the airport (a 38-minute ride). We got a triple room, which was big enough for the three of us and our luggage. Beds and pillows were comfortable; toiletries were complete and refilled every day. We did not get the breakfast option but we really did not need to; location was the best since the Dotonbori restaurant area as well as the Shinshaibashi shopping area were all walking distance. There are also a lot of restaurants and cafes on the 3rd floor (train station floor). There is even a UNIQLO beside the train station entrance. Their staff spoke excellent English and were very knowledgeable re: restaurants nearby, tours available, etc. Their bell service staff picked us up outside the Nankai rapi:t express train arrival (there is a phone on the wall outside arrival) to help you with your luggage as well as bring you right back to the luggage area inside the train itself (make sure you are early so there is enough time). Overall our stay at Swissotel was excellent and the experience unforgettable. Thank you, Swissotel!!!
This hotel does not come cheap during the heavy tourist season but it is well nigh unbeatable when it comes to transfers to and from Kansai International Airport. For that reason alone, we would opt to stay at Swissotel Nankai anytime whilst in Osaka. We only used them for our departure but the seamless way it was handled would be mirrored in the arrival process too, I'd imagine, There are no airport trolleys in the hotel. What they do is dedicate a staff who will personally pick up your luggage from your room and walk with you to the Namba Nankai Station, going through the gates and depositing your luggage right where your platform is. In our case, our helper went the extra mile and even loaded our bags onto the train. The hotel trains its staff well. All our luggage handlers, largely trainees, were cheerful and went out of their way to help beyond their normal duties. So too the bell captain and concierge teams. Mr Takahashi, the assistant front desk manager who checked us in was particularly helpful in assigning the same room to us when we returned from an overnight side trip. The rooms themselves look dated and could do with some makeover, but otherwise they serve their purpose. I especially appreciated that they had male and female- sized pajamas for guest convenience in addition to the complete range of toiletries that Japanese hotels excel. Location wise, it is right where the action takes place in nearby Dotonburi and Shinbaishi areas and commuting is a breeze with the interconnected Osaka Namba subway a 4 minute walk away. Swissotel is unbeatable for the conveniences it offers. In the end, you get what you pay for.
