"Really beautiful hotel - poor service"
One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in. Gorgeous room with incredible historic detail and decoration. You are transported to the 20s/30s. Service was unhelpful every step of the way...especially poor for a hotel at this price point. They seemed like well meaning employees, but inexperienced and poorly managed from higher up.
We stayed at this hotel where our son was getting married. We had a beautiful room, and loved the quality and character of the room as well as the entire hotel. The wedding was absolutely perfect, service and care throughout the event was excellent. Can't say enough about our experience!
The Arctic Club Seattle offers a lot of old world charm with tons of character in the rooms. The location is extremely convenient. It is 1/2 a block from the Link Light Rail station and walking distance to many ammenities (we walked to Safeco and Pike Place Market). We stayed on the second floor and would request a higher floor in hopes of reduced street noise at night. Wifi is a nightly charge which seems unnecessary in consideration of the cost of a room.
"Wonderful Gem in Downtown Seattle Near Pioneer Square"
Fantastic hotel shows off everything wonderful about historic Seattle. Hotel is steped in tradition of the Pacific Northwest and conveys that feeling everywhere: in the lobby, in the room, in the bathroom. Makes you feel like an explorer. Really got a sense of the history of Seattle.
"Enjoyed our stay"
We enjoyed our 5-day stay. The hotel's decor is very old world, with its wood paneled walls and decorative ceilings. The king room we had was a decent size on the 10th floor. It wasn't overly spacious, but was certainly comfortable for two. The staff was quite pleasant. The hotel has its happy hour from 3p-6p at The Polar Bar, with discounted wines specials and bar bites. The bartender, Garrett, made the best Manhattans and Old Fashioned I've had in quite some time. The hotel's location is in the downtown area, with office buildings, shops, etc. It's also convenient to walking to the pier area. It's located on 3rd Ave which we were told the lower part of 3rd Ave/beyond the hotel is a little more "shady". However, we did not venture to that area. We found the area around the hotel itself to be quite safe. We experienced no issues. Yes, there are some homeless people, which is true for any big city. The food at the restaurant, Juno, was good. The service was good. While at the hotel, we either walked or took Uber/Lyft. However, the bell captains were available to call a taxi if needed. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay for us.
