Have stayed here several times but felt this year topped it. The room (337) was immaculately clean, lovely decor and extremely comfy bed. Drinks facilities/bathroom accessories a lovely touch. We also felt this time, the staff were extremely attentive, all of them acknowledged you and were extremely polite when passing you in the corridors/serving you at reception/restaurant - well done !! The breakfast is still faultless, endless variety and all of very good quality. Would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to our stay next year.
The Big Blue was a fantastic hotel and the staff a all wonderful. The bar service is fabulous the food is fabulous and the bedrooms are fabulous. Had a wonderful weekend and it felt like a bargain. Well done Big Blue we will be back soon.
We have just returned from Friday to Monday weekend break. 2 adults and 2 children in superior family room and 2 adults in Deluxe double room. Wonderful! Rooms are really lovely. Nice bathroom products replenished every day. Still and sparking water replenished in double room each day too. Housekeeping staff work very hard and do a great job. All staff friendly. Breakfast time is busy however efficiently dealt with phasing you in ensuring tables are cleared and reset before you are seated. Lovely hot food on buffet and always fresh and of good quality. We are 2 nights in restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good service. Definitely recommend this hotel.
We spent a very special birthday weekend at the Big Blue Hotel. Situated in the perfect position for all the attractions next to the beach and with private access to the Pleasure Beach Park. The weather could not have been more perfect being able to paddle until the illuminations came on in the evening. Thank you to all the staff who were all very friendly but not intrusive the special touches of a personal birthday card waiting in our hotel room made it that extra special. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and will definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to my next visit.
Just back from 4 night stay, 2 adults/2 kids. Room big enough and kids section of room ideal as you don't feel crammed in like in a premier Inn/travelodge. Other plus points are changing of towels every day, tea/coffee etc and enough storage space. Breakfast was decent - we were always down around 7-45/8 am and was quiet then which suited us. Meant we were ready to go out and do things. Didn't eat in hotel at night so can't comment. Family wristband for pleasure beach was £78 which was good value. Other plus point with this is you can decide on the day based on weather rather than booking tickets online but having to commit to going on a particular date. Easy to get to other attractions using tram. Overall would recommend and from what I saw of other hotels in Blackpool the Big Blue certainly looked nicer and was in a quieter spot away from the arcades etc.
