Recently stayed for one night in this lovely hotel, before departing for a journey to Luang Prabang. After an early morning arrival, from London, they had arranged for an early check, which is greatly appreciated after a long haul flight. Was in a club room, with its own check in on a third floor with welcome drink. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Perfect room with views over Lumpini PArk, which is ideally located for people who like to get exersise Club benefits are very welcome and an ideal place to relax and unwind. Looking forward to my return visit in 9 days time
"The oldest hotel in Bangkok"
I had the chance to be invited for a dinner twice in August and October as a member of TECB IMFT 2017 and IT&CMA with two nights stay at a very beautiful suite . Location wise, it is very good with BTS access which is only steps away from the hotel. There are a lot of street foods nearby the hotel so don't worry about food. Most importantly if you're in Bangkok. what makes this hotel a great choice is its excellent traditional Thai style and decoration. The hotel continues to have some of the best staff and service ethos found anywhere it truly is the epitome of Thai hospitality. It's realy sad to know that the hotel will ne closed next April 2018 and reopen in 2020 with new style . So hurry up to have the chance to taste the hotle before April . Good luck Samer Abu Wandi MICE Middle East
"Goodbye to the old Dusit, what will the new one be like'....."
I’ve reviewed the Dusit many times as it’s one of our very favourite hotels in the world and we’ve been fortunate to visit off and on for 30 years, it’s a place full of happy memories for us. The hotel continues to have some of the best staff and service ethos found anywhere it truly is the epitome of Thai hospitality. Sadly the hotel as we know it is due to close next April so this was our farewell to “the grand old dame” of Bangkok. Its iconic in Bangkok, was once the tallest hotel in the city but now it seems it needs updating.... It’s my sincere hope that the new version due to reopen in 3 years time will have the same ethos, style and class as the current Dusit. We stayed in a Dusit Club room and enjoyed the full benefits of The Club, having experienced executive clubs in other hotels this is certainly the best in Bangkok, the staff know us and are always helpful, courtesy and professional, they make it feel like our second home and are proud of their hotel. It was with a sad heart we had to say farewell but we thoroughly enjoyed our last visit. Thank you Dusit Thani for all the lovely memories and for always being a constant and of a standard we gauge other hotel by.
This hotel is ideally located for the BTS Skytrain plus the additional advantage of having an escalator to the platforms, from where you can go practically anywhere in Bangkok We stayed in a Club Room and the room was huge. The free canapes of an evening was plentiful and varied. The breakfast in the Club Lounge was cooked to your individual likes, but you could used the main eating area on the ground level. All the staff was welcoming and they all wore smiles as to be expected.
