My wife have stayed in Singapore before and this hotel is the best so far! It's well appointed with an excellent staff! Situated right on the water with magnificent views of the harbor we highly recommend staying here!
Went to the Evening Soiree High Tea and it was fantastic. Great value for money with food being continuously replenished. The accompanying cocktail was a nice addition. View overlooking the river was very enjoyable.
Stayed at this marina bayside hotel for 4 nights for a quick tourist holiday of Singapore. Whilst there we looked at some of the other larger hotels which were also busy but we preferred this smaller 5 star hotel. The service from every single member of staff we encountered could not have been better, they were polite, courteous and always helpful. The facilities in this relatively modern hotel are great with a good size pool on the roof with great views, and casual dining and bar service. More formal dining restaurants are on ground floor. Food was always good. Excellent, extensive, Afternoon tea is taken by many on Sunday afternoon but available at other times. The room we had overlooked the bay and the now famous landmark bay sands hotel but also overlooked the other modern architectural buildings and hotels in the area. I would recommend this hotel for a celebration, holiday or a base to tour the rest of Singapore.
"Over rated "
Went there yesterday for high tea with my daughter and a group of her friends. Great location and ambience. That's the best part. The trays of food looked very nice and well displayed on the cake stands. Too many sweet dishes. There could have been more savoury dishes with Asian flavours. After all we are in Asia. I was very disappointed with the experience. Won't be going back.
"Stunning property "
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fullerton Bay. We were en route to Bali and this hotel really set the standard really high. Although we were going to Bali next, it was really hard to leave this place and we said to each other... 'the next hotel's not gonna be as nice'. We were right (haha - still, the other place was a nice hotel but not as nice as Fullerton Bay). Upon entering the impressive Clifford Pier restaurant / lobby, which is marred with charms, taste and history, I knew we made the right choice of hotels (we originally booked to stay at raffles, but changed our minds and stayed at Fullerton Bay instead). We checked in super early (6.00am) and although our room wasn't ready, we agreed to pay an additional fee for an upgrade to a Bay view room. The view was stunning from the room (overlooking Marina Bay Sands). The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. Check-in was smooth, efficient and friendly with the help of the luggage porter and Maria at reception. Everyone we encountered couldn't do enough to help and assist us, making our stay more than comfortable. The staff at the Brasserie made you feel like regular customer after the second day by offering 'your regular table' and remembering your preferred beverage. The selection at breakfast is varied, the food delicious and the presentation is delicate. The mood aided by French folklore pop songs playing in the background. The staff are very attentive. Even room service when we ordered through the device placed in the room, made sure of our dietary requirements when we contacted them to request an extra set of cutlery, (we ordered Caesar salad and weren't aware that they serve bacon in it unlike in the UK). They offered to make a fresh one to accommodate us although they had prepared it already (nothing was too much trouble). The amenities in the room are luxurious and well thought of (even included a hair band, which I needed), a small stationery set is available in the desk area. And one of my favourite thing was the fact that they provide you with a handy 'in focus' handset that you can take with you whilst sightseeing. This itself, made our stay a lot more efficient, as we were using it to book tickets for activities in Singapore and as a map to get around, thus reducing considerably, our own phone and data bill back home. Another added bonus was the free shuttle service to certain key areas at certain allocated time. We've made use of this service a couple of times. The doorman was super friendly. Loved the complimentary marine tour (couldn't do the heritage tour because of timing and I wasn't aware they were doing them, I only found out when I visited the Fullerton as they had leaflets by reception. It would be a good idea to keep some in reception too. I saw they advertised it on the tv in the room later but only after having done it). I chose one also open to the public and will not forget the reaction of one person in my group who was from Singapore, but who hadn't seen Clifford Pier since it reopened as a hotel. He knew the place as a landing port. His reaction was priceless. Talking to the guide and to him was a very informative experience and makes you appreciate all the effort it's taken to turn this beautiful space into a welcoming, warm restaurant to entertain your friends and family. Check-out was as easy breezy as check-in. They called us to offer to take the luggage down which we declined. We were offered a late checkout. Small mistake in the bill was rectified instantly. Sometimes it's not in perfection that you see amazing service but in how issues are dealt with. And they were dealt with it with no hassle. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Singapore and can't wait to come back. Thank you for making our 10 year wedding anniversary stay, one to remember.
