"excellent views from the room"
elegant, modern but still friendly atmosphere at this hotel situated perfectly between high end shopping and restaurants, and the grand place. nice well equipped gym and spa at the 24th floor with a fantastic view of the city
"Nice hotel in Brussels "
We slept here on two occasions, first time for 2 nights and second one for overnight stay. Summing up, we had had very nice stay there. Very clean room, good water pressure for shower. Strategic location, helpful staffs, nice restaurant for breakfast, good views from our corner rooms. We'll stay here again next time in Brussels.
Good location, in a high end street but if you walk up further, cheaper shops can also be found. Nice staff, only at reception. There's wifi throughout the entire hotel, free of charge, valid for 7 days. Fairly small bedroom, but it's okay. Fairly noiseproof except for possible drunk neighbours. If you get the panorama room, try to get the one facing the skyline of Brussels to enjoy watching the sunset and to get to see quite a bit of Brussels. It states a king size bed, but my partner's feet were sticking out (he's around 5"7). Dirty windows, our one even had bird fecies, bound to not have good pictures because of the windows not being clean. The blinds were partially damaged, causing light to still come in a little when the curtains were down. Being able to put the blinds down instead of curtains is a nice feature. A shame that the blinds couldn't be moved more, it's cutting down on the panoramic view one could have. Control panel for lights is nice. Batteries for TV remote were almost empty, sometimes the TV reacted, sometimes it didn't. TV wasn't very user friendly, and reacting slow to whichever we asked. Bed is comfy, but pillows are too soft for someone who likes neck support during the night. Toilet door doesn't close while it's supposed to and once flushed, the water kept running (rather annoying if your partner wants to use the toilet in the middle of the night). We figured out you had to flush again so the noise would stop immediately -> not very cost efficient! There's no light switch in the bathroom, so you had to turn it on in the bedroom in order for you to have light in the bathroom Nice shower products in the room: C.O.Bigelow products. Pleasant rain shower with a massager if desired, ALTHOUGH water was leaking outside into the bathroom/hall area when having a shower. Had to take towels to soak up the water. Reported this to the reception and this was solved afterwards. The divider between bed- and bathroom didn't really make sense: it was a moveable mirror that took up half the size of the wall. You're able to see the other person (in the shower) or lights will shine in when bathroom is being used. One can say it creates a more open space, but I would've preferred a foldable mirror that can cover the wall if desired. For a 4* hotel I expected a more qualitative dryer, an ionic one with a cool air feature I like the hidden drawers in the room, they blend in flawlessly with the rest of the furniture. The spa was a rather cramped area: 1 sauna, 1 steamroom, 1 sitting area (4people), 1 lying area (2people) for the entire hotel No amenities available in changing room at the spa for those who want to shower and get changed there. The spa experience could've been better: sauna wasn't turned on on our 1st day. The timers are stuck and can't indicate how long you've been in the sauna, which is very dangerous for those who count on those timers! I appreciate they're 2 kinds of water available in the spa (and in the rest of the hotel), and also that they're bottled. One thing I liked the most at the spa was the sauna had a huge window allowing you to enjoy Brussels' view while enjoying the sauna. The floor was quite slippery, so got into my slippers everytime I got out causing my slippers to be soaked by the time I was finished. I noticed there was a towel on the floor, but it doesn't seem hygienic for people to walk on wih their bare feet. We couldn't book any massage during the weekend as everything was fully booked. We checked out on Monday, but we were informed that no staff was available for any appointment. If this should also be spa experience, I think staff should be available all week. As for the lounge, it's a nice area and kept clean. There are snacks available (sandwiches, coffee/tea/juices/water/champagne) from 7AM till 10PM. The snacks were quite disappointing: half sandwiches or cookies. I like that rather unique fashion books are there to be read. The staff (guys in their costumes) weren't very friendly though... We had breakfast on a weekday here, and unfortunately half of the "warm" breakfast was cold. I don't expect more food or more fancy, but serving cold eggs and mushrooms is not done. You have 2 eating areas downstairs: the bar where you can have drinks and food (more relaxed atmosphere) and then the restaurant which is more fancy. As we weren't very familiar with the hotel, we mistook us by going to the restaurant instead of the bar since they're right next to each other. Once seated and realised it was a different menu, we decided to go the bar. This was clearly not appreciated at all by the waiter, which made me doubt the professionalism of the guy and the rest of the hotel. As a customer and discovering the hotel, any staff member should be open to everything. If you're working in the service industry, I expect one to keep the customer's satisfaction in mind and not to be offended if the customer changes his mind. The rest of the staff has been quite nice, but one rotten apple can spoil the barrel...
"great location and price"
i thought the hotel was at a great location for a meeting and shopping combined into one. the only downside if traveling with family would be the lack of privacy in the room (bathroom is open to the room with glass doors) -but for business by oneself it is perfect size. :)
"Discrete and comfortable"
Even though I have spent only one night in The Hotel (btw - what a name!) I am sure that this place deserves all the best ratings. Room very comfy and spacious, with modern styling (lot of glass surrounding bathroom and toilet and convinient to work and relax. Gym at 23rd floor with magnificent view over the city, not to mention panorama level at 26th - this was even better. Breakfast very ok, lots of different things to choose from. And almost forgot - The Hotel is in the easy walking distance to all the places like the marketplace, cityhall etc.
