"Beautiful building and great beach"
Intercon provide you with a great location, only 20-25 minutes from the airport with restaurants and and many cultural places just within a distance. I went there with my family and we all enjoyed the pool, drinks by the pool and beach. The beach is kids friendly and always a great moment to see the sunset from the hotel. However, we believe there were bugs in the bed, our skin is itchy up until this moment and hope the hotel can have new additional food choices for breakfast.
"Great resort to relax "
One of the best resorts we have stayed by far. Though it was the long holidays in Indonesia and the resort was full but still a great place to be in. We stayed in the classic room garden view but could still the children's pool and the beach from a distance. Well kept rooms. Lots of loungers to choose from but need to be early as the good located ones are always taken up fast. Breakfast can be improved with more variety and changed everyday or every other day especially for guests who are staying longer. We had the seafood dinner on Sunday night but was a little disappointed by the lack of selection. For about 600k rupiah, F&B can look into this to give it better value. Complimentary activities are limited. Will be great if yoga classes are FOC instead of being a paid activity. Jimbaran beach is clean and good for morning or evening walks. We will definitely be back and next time will try the club rooms.
The InterCon is such a beautiful property to live in. The staff are ever so friendly, the interiors are beautiful, the architecture is well done, the food is good too. It's just a win-win. The photographer at the InterCon, Caius Seker, is also very approachable and friendly. He happily took us around the best of sites to help us click better pictures. Highly recommend this resort!
This is the first time my husband and I have stayed in Jimbaran as we normally stay in Seminyak but as this was a family surf trip and we were traveling with our 11 year old surfer daughter so we wanted to be close to the surf breaks near Uluwatu. Jimbaran seemed a good compromise and the Intercontinental was the more affordable of the two big appealing resorts. I have to admit to not having high expectations as I knew the Intercontinental was not new or cutting edge in architecture and I expected it to be dated but from the moment we arrived we were overwhelmed by how utterly gorgeous the resort is and we were very pleased to have selected the Intercontinental for our stay as opposed to the Four Seasons. The resort sits so magnificently on the wide beach frontage and the gardens and landscaping are meticulous and breathtaking. We ate in all the restaurants (except the Japanese) and had incredible food and service everywhere we went. The service is second to none from all staff members and they were so welcoming and accommodating to our every whim including some tricky food allergy limitations that they made so easy to work around. We had the Singaraja duplex suite as we needed the extra bed downstairs for our daughter and heaps of luggage including 4 surfboards and this room was massive and perfect for our needs. Granted the room was showing its age in the finishes but the comfort and convenience and configuration was just perfect for us. Our expectations were exceeded with the Intercontinental. Loved everything about it. The pool was amazing! Thanks for a wonderful stay.
"Great beach; overpriced F&B"
This is a large hotel reminiscent of something you'd find in Hawaii. The check in process ( we were part of a group) seemed slow, and when we tried to change rooms the process broke down and we ended staying in the first floor room assigned to us. The room itself is rather spacious but we've had better in Bali. If you stay here , ask for something above the first floor, which is darker and with little air flow on balcony. Food and beverage is very expensive for Bali. A cocktail is $15 USD plus 11% tax plus 10 % service. It was the only place we went to in Bali that had an additional tip line. The best part of this hotel is the beach. The temperature of the sea is heavenly and it's fun to play in the waves. Evening beach walks with the scuttling sand crabs is a delight. I would recommend this hotel only for the beach.
