"Superb service. "
Stayed one night and one day for airport layover on the way to Kuala Lumpur. Decent room with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Service during the breakfast was great. Just the attention to detail is what we love as IHG members. Special thanks to the gardeners who keep the gardens of the hotel as beautiful as possible. We are not "on a budget" traveller's, but we think the prices of the food and drinks in the hotel are a bit exaggerated (read 5-10 times more expensive) as local restaurants or supermarkt. Further on there was a big area of the hotel under construction/renovation. Management, keep up the good work and we hope to visit Bali again next year.
"5 star hotel with 4 star service"
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for honeymoon. We booked 2 night stay at Singaraja room, the one just renovated. We reached hotel much earlier and were told that the room was not ready yet. So the concierge told us that she has upgraded our room to suite room and it's available on the spot. We're shocked to find that the room comes with 2 queen size bed, TWO BEDS! Seriously i didn't expect this from 5 star hotel, 2 beds for honeymooners' They must be kidding. But ended up we got our Singaraja room with one King bed (even though i suspect it was actually 2 twin bed combined to make up king bed). Not much honeymoon benefit here though, only 1 bottle of local wine (but i think it taste more like a beer) and few pieces of strawberry. Good quality breakfast at both restaurants. This hotel also provide a lot of umbrellas at many different spot, which is extremely useful when the sunny cloud turn rainy.
"Weekend Getaway in Jimbaran"
Great hotel with newly renovated Singaraja wing room. Stayed at this hotel for the second time and the service was wonderful. From check in, bell boy and the staffs around pool and restaurants, they always try to make you feel at home. Two thumbs up for the very personal care of the breakfast supervisor at Bella, mas Dedi, who make sure that our needs were met and delivered. Had a small chat with him although he was a bit busy taking care other guests also. When we already left the restaurant, mas Dedi chased us just to bid farewell because it was our last day at this hotel. Will definitely come back to this hotel especially for the new restaurant that is expected to open in April 2018.
We stayed here for the first time and loved this resort. 5 nights wasn't long enough. Fantastic staff - from our arrival to the reception and wonderful housekeeping - nothing was too much trouble. The Singaraja room was great, and the bed so huge & comfortable. We had thought about upgrading to a Club room but there was no need - we had 2 pools to chose from, the swim-up bar was a bonus and there were so many sunbeds looking over the beach as well. Our favourite spot at the end of the day was the Sunset Bar - toes in the sand, the best cocktails and food. What more could you ask for. Also, just a short walk down the beach are the seafood restaurants which we were hesitant about initially however we chose well and had a lovely fresh meal. I must give a special mention to the manager on duty (sorry I've forgotten his name) on 13th Nov. My husband was ill (from a day out, not the seafood restaurant!) and he was so helpful in giving us a room for a few more hours until our late flight and organising some food to ensure he could make the plane. You have no idea how much this helped. Also special mention to the doctor who did a 'house call'. We will return as we cannot think of a more caring hotel, beautiful room and relaxing environment.
"Intercontinental - Bali at its best - hotel, beach, great food, superb environment"
I keep going back to this hotel since it opened in the 90s because it is simply excellent on so many levels. However they are now renovating rooms, wing by wing so be careful - on a positive note the hotel is half full and we never heard any of the construction (they have very carefully hidden the works behind nice murals). This means the pools have fewer people than usual. Staff are lovely, grounds unbeatable. The Club, if you pay extra to stay there, provides ongoing food and from late afternoon alcohol freely on tap. With breakfast provided and food all day and a free pass to the buffet one night (we never used) your food/beverage bills will be minimal or non existent! Wonderful huts by pool you need to race out and grab early for the family and kids. Oh and the kids club and their staff - wonderful for the grandkids. They loaned us a wheelchair for a few days after my partner's injury - nice touch.
