"Horrible experience "
Management of this hotel didn't have the courtesy to offer any apologies to guest for the huge inconvenience they endured from security agents due to the presence of a VIP in residence. It was an awful intrusive experience for which I will NEVER come back. Why the hotel wasn't completely shut down, I don't understand. Greed! Instead management let out rooms to unsuspecting guests and made them suffer logging luggage to the road due to its closure. Furthermore the rooms are Dark, dreary and dated and the hotel is in dye need of renovation.
"Still a nice elegant and great rooms Hotel"
Stayed again after stayed several years ago when first opened. It is still nice chic decor. Large suite rooms with nice bathrooms. Very quiet rooms and hotel. Check in was quick and pleasant. I will stay here again, I tried to stay this week but it was too $$$ this time so stayed at the Westhouse (dont go there).... Try it!
"Excellent location, rooms are large and confortable"
As it was a family vacation, we needed a room that would easily accommodate an extra bed. London NYC's suites are excellent on that count and very well located, just a few blocks away from Central Park. Rooms are very spacious and conformable, although the decoration needs a refit. On service level and F&B, unfortunately their classification is way lower. But who cares, when you have so many nice cafeterias around where you can take breakfast or bars for a cocktail at the end of the day!
Good location for why we were in the city. The amenities were not what they should have been - we had to ask for bathrobes in our room and for turndown service. This is something I expect for a hotel of this caliber. Also there were no coffee machines in the room. The suite we stayed in was dark and somewhat run down. Many times I had to hail my own cab. The concierge service was very good.
"good sized rooms for new york"
We stayed in a London Suite for 9 nights and it was perfect. Most rooms in New York are small so it was very refreshing to get a suite for $300 a night. The bed was large and comfortable and area to hang your clothes and several drawers and the bathroom was a good size too. A double shower. The living area was adequate with a modular lounge and desk and table also a rocking chair if you prefer. It served our needs perfectly
