"Location, setting and view are spectacular --service disappointing "
Hotel is located on the southern part of the island. Great view of the beautiful beach. Property is unique. Rooms are spacious with private patio with large day bed. Rooms have private bathroom stall, big closets, amenities. Maybe I just got accustomed to the amazing Thai service we received in Bangkok and Chiang Rai 5-star hotels but this property just does not have the same 5-star hotel customer service level. Privately owned I believe. During buffet breakfast it took 15-20 minutes for them to serve our coffee and drinks. Oh and iced coffee is not included in the buffet price!!! We spoke to the food and Bev manager about service and he is supposed to comp our breakfast but not the iced coffees!!! Went to book spa appointments yesterday --all booked up until 11am the next day! 24-hr Room service food has been consistently very good. Burger, fries, roasted Mediterranean veggies, tomato tartar, roasted cauliflower. Just slow service. Check in staff was unimpressive. I had to add a night to our stay and they actually told me to book it online because it is cheaper. Really''' I pushed the issue and he ended up doing it for me at the lower rate but that was absurd. We have four guests in two rooms. I asked if we can get four wifi devices included per room at check in --nope only three. Pay extra for the fourth. We wanted food and drinks when we arrived at 9:30-10pm and they said no food served except room service after 10pm. Had to seek our server to order drinks in the main bar area. Too busy talking to each other. Hotel does have 2 nurses on property which comes in handy after the bad motor scooter accident my daughter's got in. Went to new medical clinic in Chalong to get stitches and X-rays but nurses can change bandages here in hotel. Wear helmets (tickets are given) and take turns extremely carefully! May is the rainy season. We had one sunny day and the rest rained on and off. So have some back up plans if it rains. Weekend market in Naka was an experience. Big Buddha. Drive and see the coastal views. Eat good Thai food.
We stayed for 2 weeks in May 2017 and cannot rate The Nai Harn highly enough. The staff are awesome beyond belief! Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is amazing. So much choice, and the cold room is great! We had fantastic food at Cosmo and also at Rock Salt - although both very expensive compared to local restaurants. Very, very expensive drinks in the hotel too. How to improve' Lower the food and drink prices - substantially. We would have no hesitation to return - supermarket 5 minute walk for nibbles and drinks, lovely restaurants, notably Mama's and Yaya- both exceptional in both quality and value.
"Great place to be"
The worst part of this week was the first, transferring from the airport which is around an hour give or take after that everything falls into place for a great week.Check in effortless .Rooms - we upgraded to a Grand Ocean View and it was super, extremely clean, amenities spot on.Breakfast extremely good as were dinners at Cosmos and Rock Salt.I know people are skeptical about riding scooters in Thailand but my wife and I discovered some wonderful places Rawai beach, Chalong Bay,Panwa beach,Kata Noi and to a lesser Kata,Karon,Patong, just take your time and carry your license or be prepared to pay a fine
"The Ultimate Place to Escape for a Couple"
From the very moment we arrived we were treated by the most friendly and helpful staff throughout our entire stay. The upgraded accommodation to a Grand Ocean View Room offered spectacular views, utmost privacy, facilities including a dual shower and an air conditioning system that allowed us to escape the typical Phuket hot and steamy weather. The food at the Resort was extensive and delicious whether you were enjoying your breakkast, having a signature cocktail at the poolside or just enjoying dinner at Cosmos Restaurant. We also indulged in their home made ice creams by the pool. We cannot recommend this Resort highly enough and will certainly visit again. Thank you to all the staff who made our first trip to Thailand so memorable. Kind regards, Dianne and Michael PS the only suggestion we could offer to make this perfect would be to recommend a complimentary shuttle bus to Patong daily.
"Best choice for a honeymoon "
Hotel is excellent. Breakfast amazing and gives you access to Nai Harn beach. Low point is that the shuttle to Patong Beach is charged. I believe this should be included as the hotel is very expensive. The prices at the restaurant are absurd, but I guess it's part of the 5 star policy, as this days people believe it has to be expensive to be good. Swimming pool is not huge, but the beach compensates. The room was amazing and the view breathtaking. I would definitely come back.
