"Luxurious Experience in Perfect Location"
We everything about this hotel -- the plant-filled atrium, the well-appointed room, the extensive breakfast buffet and the 16th Century historical details. We found the staff very accommodating. We used their Mercedes limo service to and from the airport; the driver did not speak much English but transported us on-time between the hotel and airport. The ground floor drawing rooms are worth some exploring -- we did not discover them until the morning of our departure. The location is great for walks in the historic city and for accessing a wide range of restaurants.
"Nice, but a couple of essentials missing"
We had a great dialogue with the hotell up On arrival. We ordered their limoservice and got acceptace of it. On arrival we We're picked up by a rather shabby taxi rather than the promised Mercedes. It was apparently booked. The SPA treatment was very good, but the SPA area was not AS expected. Cold water in the bublebath and only the sauna working properly. I expected more from a hotell in this class. The hotell itself was nice and a good place to stay.
This hotel has very special atmoshpere. It was built in the 16th century and the original wall paintings can be seen in some parts of the building. Very nicely furnished comfortable rooms, helpful and professional staff. Nice breakfast. The location is perfect for tourists as it is in the very heart of the old town. Tourist spots can be reached on foot in a few minutes.
"Luxurious with Old world charm"
We were pleasantly surprised when I entered the hotel. It oozed history and old world charm. Right from the restaurant which had period furniture and paneled walls to the rooms with a large bed and beautiful curtains, we fell in love with the place. The staff was impeccably polite, the location was perfect in front of the university in the old town and the breakfast in the old cellar was charming. Wish we could have stayed longer.
"Not quiet, but well located."
My one request upon check-in was a quiet room. I received a second floor room on the main street directly over the restaurant. I was able to hear every word from the room next door for the entire stay. One night I was kept awake by the party in the restaurant below and the next night, kept awake late by the loud and drunken party in the restaurant in front of the hotel. It was definitely not a quiet room. The room was otherwise spacious, although flowery and dated. The staff were generally friendly although not very accommodating to requests. The breakfast was served in the cellar and was ok, but nothing special. They will also serve breakfast in your room for an extra 5 euro. The in room breakfast includes omelets, which was not included downstairs. While the hotel is well located, I will look for other, quieter options when I return to Vilnius.
