"Better than expected"
Was attending a conference at Omni Shoreham but didn't want to pay the onsite prices. Normandy within walking distance. I wasn't expecting much with 3 stars but it was lovely. Staff very helpful and knowledgable about the area. Rooms converted and charming-however if u want shiny & new than this is not for u. No restaurant onsite but plenty in the area. Wine in the lobby in evening-what more could u want. Would definitely stay again & recommend for a friend.

"Breakfast was not worth the price!!"
The service was great but the only issue I had was with the breakfast. They should not charge for breakfast if all they're going to provide is a bagel, fruit, and coffee. I felt so ripped off. Never again would I book there because of this.

"Hidden Jewel"
We decided last minute to visit DC for the weekend, and found the Normandy on Hotels.com for a very reasonable rate. This place is a hidden jewel. Just a few blocks off Dupont Circle, the hotel is quiet, comfortable, and well appointed. The staff was gracious, professional, and exceedingly accommodating - our front desk person even gave up a space in front of the hotel (the garage was full) to allow us to park for the weekend. From the delicious continental breakfast to staff escorting us to the elevators on check-in, the Normandy exceeded our expectations. Next time we are in DC, we would definitely stay at the Normandy.

"Chill, well designed classic hotel in a nice neighborhood"
My room was well organized and very clean with new everything. The design is nice and the people who work here are nice. There were no unpleasant surprise charges. The music in the lobby and breakfast areas was good. This hotel is part of a small chain, rather than a mega-chain, and I prefer to support unique, small businesses. Quiet.

"Great little place"
The Normandy is a lovely little place in the DuPont circle area. Surrounded by embassies there is a great international vibe to the area. Lots of great dining within walking distance. Easy metro access to all of the D.C. Sights.
