"Great Location, comfortable stay"
Mr. Chaitanya Nagpal is a great and most hospitable guy in this hotel which truly understands customer's requirements and expectations. Very prompt on the service front and very swift in terms of revert.
"Guests from England"
Comments after two nights. Hotel very pleasant, staff friendly , courteous and very helpful . Bedroom comfortable, but bathroom shelving very high for little people. Restaurant meal very good, breakfast very good. Coffee bar staff very caring, friendly and attentive especially Massoom an excellent ambassador for the hotel.
"Superb Location for Capital Visit"
My wife and I spent our first three nights here as a base to see the sights of Delhi and two further single nights over a period of nine days. I chose the hotel on location and in that regard it's superb. Most evenings we walked to Connaught Place (CT) and strolled around the shops and restaurants. The staff at the hotel were polite, professional and well trained. Mr Manev Rahul arranged a taxi tour of the city for us and advised us on longer road trips to Shimla (3 days) and the Jaipur-Agra-Delhi triangle (4 days). Each of the three rooms was well appointed, particularly the top floor one to which we were upgraded on our second visit. There were minor maintenance issues but none that detracted unduly from the experience. The choice and range of breakfasts was terrific and the staff - particularly Masoom - always on hand even when large parties were staying. The Fire restaurant was fine although lacked the sparkle of restaurants in CT. The pool at the rear is well managed although the bar prices are unnecessarily inflated.
First hotel on our tour and the worst. Nice lobby area, food good but rooms really need sorting out. Beds too hard, room tired and bathroom a bit dirty, with socket hanging off wall. Would not recommend.
"Good location, average property"
The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location- located in the green and clean zone of New Delhi, very close to Parliament and government offices and walking distance to Connaught Place shopping area. The hotel seems quite old and not of the standard it seems to be priced at. Rooms are quite small and decently done up. Hotel area, rooms, bathrooms are clean and thats it. Do not expect luxury amenities though sometimes the hotel commands 5 star prices. Bed and pillows are quite comfortable and usually its quite in the nights so you can expect a peaceful sleep. Hardly any dining choices, with one 24 hr coffee shop and one restaurant. Though the coffee shop serves buffet dinner till 12 midnight. Seating is strictly OK in this restaurant, nothing great to write. Food I found was also strictly OK. Not one dish among all I tried I can say was good or excellent- though nothing was bad as such. Now comes the worst part- the staff. The reception and security staff are OK and do not miss one single chance to say "Namaste", but the restaurant staff are the worst I have come across in this category of hotels. They are busy talking to each other even when you are trying to place an order. It gave me a feeling of being some usual watering hole in the city. I would highly recommend going to dine out at one of the many good restaurants in the Connaught Place area which is walking distance away. Overall I would not recommend this hotel unless it is available for half the price what they usually sell at.
