"Impeccable housekeeping but avoid the bar"
Excellent staff at front desk, very nice room with excellent views. Housekeeping is outstanding. However, prices in the bar are eye watering. We ordered three gin and tonics, but found the measures a little mean. An extra three measures of gin were duly dispensed. The cost' Over £100. Prices are ridiculously savage for wines, as well. There is also a 12.50% service charge, with a suggestion on should add an additional tip. On top of this, unless you book direct with the hotel they hit you with expensive Wi-fi costs. We have stayed at luxury hotels all over the world - will not stay here again. Felt gouged.
"My favorite hotel in London"
We stay here every year when we visit London. The location is central to great restaurants, shopping and the tube. The rooms are quiet, well appointed and offer wonderful views of the City. The bathroom shower is a bit tight mainly to do with the circular shape of the building but that would be my only issue although very minor. The staff here are always very nice and the breakfast at the restaurant is very good with plenty to choose from.
First thing to say is that the staff are outstanding. Friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms are very well appointed and distinctive with a circular layout dictated by the building itself. Each room has a huge panoramic window and there are some fantastic views to be had from some of the rooms. I have to say that the bed was one of the best I've found in an hotel. Very, very comfortable. Breakfast was an excellent buffet style affair that was cooked well and nicely presented.
"Excellent hotel and location."
The jewel in this hotel is the staff, they cannot do enough for you, so welcoming and friendly. Excellent service, good rooms, great views. Fantastic location. Breakfast was a delight, the selection and quality of food on offer was great. Unfortunately didn't have a chance to sample the restaurant but we will next time.
"First class hotel; lovely location"
Right in the heart of Knightsbridge next to the department store Harvey Nichols. Very busy shopping area, with lovely residential areas around the side streets. You can walk everywhere, or take the very nearby tube. Old style elegance and service. Lovely large rooms with all the amenities. The casino on site does draw a certain crowd, though.
