What a lovely stay! Staffs are friendly. The room is clean. Excellent service. When we went for breakfast we were not sure what to expect but we were surprised the food is really lovely. The quality of the dishes are world class. We got the value for pur money. Thanks you for making our trip lovely.
Wonderful hotel. Location by the Chao Phraya river. Excellent seafood buffet. Super service and pleasant staff. Luxurious rooms well appointed. Concierge desk most helpful and thank you for recommending IFC. Really enjoyed the experience. Will be back next visit!
This was the first stop on our honeymoon and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The first day we went to the spa and got amazing hours and a half treatments. The spa was beautiful and seemed very traditional thai themed. This location is a bit out of the hustle and bustle but they do offer a free 5 min ferry to the public pier where you can pick up a boat that will shuttle you to the grand palace and other popular stops along the river. The pool was beautiful. I will say that if you sat next to the drainage running along one side of the pool it was a bit stinky at times. We didn't fall in love with bangkok but certainly enjoyed our time at this lovely hotel and would recommend for those looking for a relaxing and romantic stay out of the craziness of downtown Bangkok.
We spent 4 nights at this beautiful hotel. The staff was efficient, knowledgeable and personable. The hotel is clean, modern and overlooks the river. There is a boat that will take you across the river to the central 'downtown' area. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the service is impeccable. We ate at several of the on site restaurants and they were all amazing. I would highly recommend the Peninsula for your stay in Bangkok.
"Urban oasis "
Stunning view of the city of Bangkok. I can hardly ask more than this for the view of the city itself. The room, bathroom and amenities was quite special. U know when you appreciate in fine material, art, etc. you can pick it and the wood, marble, ceiling, pen, shoes horn, jewellery box, bedsheets, pillow, bathrobe etc. spoke to me. I would always ensure I dress appropriately in public space of the hotel to show respect (not too casual) I think It's a very hotel for people who would like to escape the chaos of the city yet would like to watch over the city and once you have enough of it after a few glasses of fine champagne just shut the curtain and head to the comfy bed. The concierge/front desk staff on night shift were very helpful and attentive. Housekeeper staff was very friendly and did such a great job. Breakfast was standard (not bad nor best) The pool was nice and organised and staff were quite attentive. Boat staff were helpful and friendly on both side of the river. However I found in some areas of the hotel staff seemed to be having a little bit of attitude/too busy and at least in area was quite rude. Staff could more attentive in Breakfast outlet (we have breakfast in an outlet closest to the pool). Staff should be more friendly and attentive. Concierge (day shift). I understand that they were busy but a smile would make such big difference. The most let down section was their boutique (gift shop) There were a few staff when I was there. I was there to purchase a few items, they gave me a bag for purchased items I thought the bag was nice and ask if I could have a small bag so I could put in an item in case I would like to give to my friend. One of the staff gave a mini bag to me with a not very friendly manner. The next day I went down to buy a hotel umbrella without mentioning anything about a shopping bag the same girl said this time I have no bag for you for an umbrella..... I was thinking to myself like "excuse me!'" The hotel call itself supper luxury which I could agree with in term of location and facilities but once I had this kind of experience I then was in doubt. I was surprised that this kind of attitude exist in such hotel. A paper bag and you had and behave or say that way to your guest!' Really!' I in fact tried to avoid walking pass the boutique again since then because I don't want it to remind me of such experience during my stay in the hotel. Although I have some negative experiences (may be I had bad luck on those days) I would still recommend my friend who want to enjoy the view, amenity and feeling I had when I was in my room to stay at The Peninsula Bangkok.
