The Rembrandt is perfectly positioned to explore the local area. With the V&A Museum opposite the hotel, The Natural History Museum and The Science Museum only 5 minutes away and Harrods, Harvey Nichols and other designer shops within a 10 minute walk. South Kensington tube station (Circle, District and Piccadilly lines) is only few minutes walk away making The Rembrandt the perfect base for London. From the South Kensington tube you can access all the large mainline stations, such as Paddington (trains for Heathrow), Victoria (trains for Gatwick), Charing Cross and Liverpool Street to name but a few.
We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel whose staff were attentive and helpful. The only minor criticisms were that the dining room wasn't open for dinner most nights, though you could get a restricted menu in the lounge bar, and that there was no butter knife on the table at breakfast, meaning you had to keep hold of the knife you'd used for your cooked breakfast. However, as we say, these were only minor irritations in what was a very enjoyable seven nights at the hotel.Comment of B. Cassandra , United Kingdom the 2015-09-02

Ideal hotel for visits to museums, Harrods and Royal Albert Hall. A short walk away from South Kensington tube station which enables easy access to anywhere in the city in a short while. Everything about the hotel was fantastic. Our visit was to see the display of poppies at the Tower which was wonderful.Comment of S. Elizabeth , United Kingdom the 2014-10-19

Fantastic experience, hotel gave an upgrade to celebrate 25th wedding anniversary, terrific room with view across to the Victoria and albert museum. Location great, hotel staff great, room great, this will be our hotel every time we come to LondonComment of B. Chris , United Kingdom the 2014-07-18
We have visited the Rembrandt several times. The hotel is well looked after and the staff friendly. The location is excellent being near museums and with tube access to the city from South Kensington on three lines. A nice addition to our room this time was a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom. The room was spotlessly clean and the cost was very reasonable.Comment of W. Nigel , United Kingdom the 2014-07-17
Ottimo il collegamento a Piccadilly Circus con il bus 14. Colazione splendida. Proprio accanto ai migliori musei.Comment of M. Massimo , Italy the 2014-07-02
We recently stayed 10 days at The Rembrandt. It was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the South Kensington tube stop and less than a block from the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Natural History and Science Museum. Our room was always spotless, the bathroom was huge for a hotel in London: spring for the executive king room. It is completely worth it. The bath had a whirlpool tub, great shower, heated towel rack, and in-room safe. The mini-bar was well-stocked and the prices were in-line with the convince stores we passed on the street or in the tube stops. The closet needs a few more hangers, but the drawer space was more than adequate for the two of us. There is a complimentary full English breakfast with great staff and a filling meal with enough variety to keep us engaged for 10 days. We also ate in the hotel restaurant a few times after returning late from a concert or show. The service was excellent and the sandwiches in the bar area were delicious and reasonably priced. The front desk was helpful and accommodating. We arrived a couple of hours before check-in time; the hotel stored our luggage while we stretched our legs in the neighborhood. I felt very safe in the area, even as a woman alone at night. There were good restaurants near the hotel: exceptional Chinese and Thai food along with lots of snack possibilities. After a long day, it was a pleasure to come "home" to the hotel. We will definitely book this hotel on a return visit to London. We highly recommend The Rembrandt.Comment of S. "My favorite in London"
The Rembrandt hotel is my preferred place to stay, when in the area. A bit expensive, but value for money. Close toV&A (across the street), just 45 minutes from Heathrow with the Piccadilly Line to South Kensington, then just five minutes to walk to the hotel. Good service and a nice hotel bar with a cosy fireplace. Good breakfast usually included in the room price. My room had both a large shower and a small one-person jacuzzi. Bed was really good.
"Good hotel in a great location"
Stayed for 2 nights in an exec king room. It was spacious and very clean with a huge bed and brilliant power shower. Lovely toiletries too. The only downside was there is construction work going on which starts ar 8am. This wasnt an issue for us as we are early birds but unwelcone if you wanted a lie in. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast adequate although a greater selection of fresh fruit would be good. Turn right out of the hotel and you can see Harrods its so near. Turn left and a 5 min walk takes you to South Kensington tube station and many varied and great restaurants. Opposite the hotel is the V&A museum I would definitely stay here again its in a great location which is everything when visiting London. Tip - single trip tube tickets are the same price as Oyster card if you use contactless payment
"Lovely afternoon tea in pleasant surroundings"
I went with a few friends for afternoon tea on my birthday between Christmas and New Year and chose this location not only due to its proximity to the National History and V&A museums which we were visiting but also because they were able to cater for Coeliacs. Indeed the gluten free afternoon tea was acceptable with nice sandwiches on slightly toasted gluten free bread which I was pleased about since this bread is often better toasted. I was rather envious of the scones on the plates of my non-Coeliac friends but previous experience of gluten free scones has not been great anyway 😕 The price was reasonable, the presentation nice and the staff helpful. A few of us stayed on for Irish coffees so there was no pressure on us to leave when we had finished our teas.
"Very good hotel near Harrod's with superb staff"
Nice room, though I would recommend you select a bigger size one for more space, especially if you are a group of two or three persons. Lots of restaurants near by and the famous Harrod's department store is accessible by foot. The hotel is very close to a subway station which runs directly to Heathrow (very convenient). Piccadilly Circus is within a twenty minute subway ride, max. The hotel was very quiet and the staff superb. The buffet breakfast has everything you could wish for. I have tried several hotels in London and I might just found what I was looking for. I highly recommend it.
"WONDERFUL HOTEL, PERFECT LOCATION, UPPED THEIR GAME!"
I've stayed at The Rembrandt several times over the years. In the past, I've had some issues with the hotel, from quibbles to more major problems. I did let them know about the problems in 2016 and they worked hard to correct things that had not gone well. I'm happy to report that this last trip in September and October 2017 was relatively trouble-free. The hotel staff went out of their way to make this a pleasant stay for me. The way I travel is to use The Rembrandt as a base. I go back and forth to other countries and other parts of the UK doing research. I stayed at the hotel on 4 different occasions this trip, sometimes for 3 or 4 days, once just overnight. Each time they welcomed me by name at the desk. The matre'd at breakfast remembered me from the previous year and was always accommodating. I had various rooms, all of which were good and one, a suite for overnight, gorgeous. Because I'd signed up as a kind of regular for their hotel loyalty plan, I was sent a bottle of wine on two occasions as a welcome gift. I can't say enough good things about this particular trip with my several stays, only that this is, to me, one of the best hotels for service, location and affordability in London and I would return in future. I thank The Rembrandt for taking my 4 issues seriously. None of what happened the previous year happened this time. The hotel offered me various things to correct the problems I'd experienced, for example, with the spa I was given vouchers to make up for bad treatment there. Everything offered was fixed but one: the restaurant meal I'd had the previous year where the food was badly cooked--the offer of a replacement meal on my recent visit didn't materialize. But I was treated so well, and the wine was a nice gift to a Rembrandt club member, that I can overlooked the meal issue, particularly because it seemed there was a new person in the 'office' and not the employee I'd dealt with in email. So, The Rembrandt. Highly recommended. A personal hotel. Excellent in many ways.
