"Amazing Staff and Beautiful Hotel"
We had a fabulous stay at the Ritz-Carlton Marina Del Rey. The staff was outstanding, the rooms are very well appointed and the location to many southern California attractions was perfect. Their team of hospitality professionals made us feel like family, and were there for our every need. We appreciate their caring, friendly associates who certainly went the extra mile for our family.
"Rest and Relaxation an uber ride away from LAX"
I can think of no place better to escape the hustle and bustle of LA than the Ritz located in Marina Del Rey. It is a 10 - 15 cab / uber to from LAX. We have stayed at Ritz Carlton hotels across the country. The level of service and hospitality are exceptional and this location does not dissappoint. We added the club level for our second night. The club is a little small compared to other locations but the quality of food, beverage, and service are top notch. Katie, Edgar, and Michelle went out of there way to make our time in the club special. A must stay for those accustomed to the Ritz brand. Can't wait to return.
"A 'ritzy' and tranquil experience"
Okay, this is my FIRST TIME staying at a Ritz-Carlton and the service was more than I could have anticipated! The front service desk was very friendly, the valet parking staff opened the doors to a lavish entrance, the concierge helped book a hair appointment for me (a very good outdoor mall is about a 15-22 minute walk from the hotel or a 3 minute drive). I have to say that I was disappointed with the prices for room service and breakfast. With the price we paid to book a room for two nights here we were more motivated to go outside of the hotel to eat (which isn't a bad thing). There's a restaurant called "Tony P's" right next to the hotel (about a 4 minute walk) which has fantastic portion sizes and tasty fish. There are a lot of options to choose from and it's a little pricey but a great find. The parking is valet only for $40 USD however there is a parking lot across the street for $6 USD. This parking lot looks "sketchy" but there were a few cars parked there and our car was fine. If you want to save some money, you can park here. The hotel is on a busy street and you definitely have to make a longer trip going across to the hotel using the walkways so might I suggest pulling up to the hotel with your car and taking your luggage and belongings out first before going to park. Carrying them back would be tiresome! The pool and hot tub area make you feel like a complete celebrity in a secluded mansion away from the world.. There are towels available by the pool so there's no need to bring your own. There is an exercise area as well as a spa ($$). This venue hosts events but when we were there no events were going on. I can imagine how much more busy it would feel if there was an event taking place. There are lounge chairs available and a boardwalk that takes you around the area. It is a really nice hotel and I cannot imagine them not checking all of the boxes you need. The wi-fi was available at no cost, which was great. Our room was the room with "two views" where we could see the mountains and city and then on the left was the harbour and water. We only stayed here for two days but it was so easy to feel comfortable from the first moment we were here. I'd definitely stay here again.
"First Class Hotel"
My wife and I were engaged at your hotel a few years ago. To be able to return on a sentimental celebration and have the hotel staff not only recognize but go far above and beyond in making our stay special meant more to us than I can express. Nick and Megan were welcoming and made us feel great by welcoming us back and offering a glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. Edgar made our stay wonderful and complete by his kindness, personable demeanor, and his obvious dedication to excellence. Maria went out of her way to make our club experience perfect. Isabelle in housekeeping was so sweet and helpful. Please pass our sincere thanks to your wonderful staff.
"Beware of GI Upset on Club Level"
Food on Club Level tasted excellent, but unfortunately solicited severe gastrointestinal symptoms from our party. Upon check out, the clerk attempted to charge our card $148,000 for a 2 night stay, instead of $1488.
