"Excellent location, room size O.K.."
Stayed for 6 nights in a twin room with my brother. I had heard that rooms in Hong Kong were small but this room was O.K considering we will be out most of the day. The air con is very effective and the bathroom was a decent size. The hotel is in the same building as the ferry service to Macau and also the 'Hong Kong City' shopping mall. If you get out of the lift at level 2 then you do not need to go outside to get the ferry or go into the shopping mall. There is a footbridge to Kowloon Park next to the hotel. Our interaction with staff was minimal, just checking-in and checking out but they were very polite. We didn't try the breakfast but it is expensive. There is a 'McDonalds' and 'Cafe de Coral' in the shopping mall who do cheaper breakfasts. The 'Harbour City' shopping mall is close to the hotel and this makes it an air conditioned 10 minute walk to the Star Ferry. From Kowloon station the Hotel shuttle bus 'K2' stops at the Royal Pacific. We got a very good deal with flights through Expedia and will look to stay at the hotel again on my next visit to Hong Kong.
"How to run a large hotel and still provide service "
Kowloon. Who stays there' Large hotels - will they know/ care who you are' Friends booked us into The Royal Pacific and we went with some concerns. We were wrong - the care and attention was more than we have experienced in smaller higher rated and more expensive hotels. We took advantage of the business centre on the 19th floor - a premium on the price but worth every penny ( or cent). There the staff treated as special guests and we used the facilities as a living room, meeting place and a haven of peace as well as enjoying the complimentary food and drink. One slight downside: no pool - but the gym was excellent and under utilised ( at least in the early hours) Staff well informed, bright, courteous and interested. Well done
"Convenient Hotel by Ferry Terminal in Kowloon"
Currently staying for 3 nights st this hotel. Rooms are excellent , furnishings and bathroom first class. We didn't have a good experience on the first night at the restaurant in the evening as although the restaurant was nearly empty, the service was terrible. We had to wait nearly an hour for the main course to arrive . Far too long. Breakfast buffet is superb . I would stay here again without question , just not eat an evening meal here!!
"Great location and good size room"
I stayed there several times for business trip. Their service was above standard and staffs were friendly. The size of room is good for Hong Kong where space is limited. The location is super, you got everything next to the hotel...shopping, food, park, view, entertainment, transportation, etc. They also offer shuttle from/to hotel vs airport or free shuttle bus to airport express train station. The only thing some of rooms may need remodel or fix due to high volumn of family guests and noise control.
"Excellent location. Room could be a tad cleaner"
This was my third time staying at the hotel. The hotel is very busy and popular with the Mainland Chinese. Location is excellent, around 15 mins walk to Star Ferry pier. It is also on the K2 Airport Express Shuttle Bus route. The hotel is situated on top of a shopping mall where there is a small supermarket and various fast food outlets. My Harbour View room was spacious and comfortable. Great view of the skyline on Hong Kong Island. The room had all necessary amenities one could ask for. Cleaning could have been more thorough as I found several strands of hair in the bathtub and on the bathroom floor (nit-picking here). Surroundings were quiet and soundproofing was good. Slept well. Personally I felt that the hotel staff could be a bit more friendlier. They don't seem to smile or make eye contact. Nor was I asked how my stay was when I checked out. This may be due to the high volume of guests passing through the hotel. N.B.: HKD 500 deposit per night is collected when you check in. Best to pay in cash, so that you are paid back immediately on check out.
Credit cards accepted by the hotel: Visa - MasterCard
Check-in: 3:00 PM , Check-out: 11:00 AM
