Comment of P. Christian , Switzerland the 2017-01-28
"Excellent hotel in a quiet downtown location"
First time staying in St. Regis. The location is very convenient - directly connected to Ratchadamri BTS station. It is also next to golf course, that is why it is relatively quieter than typical downtown streets. Lumpini park is only 5 minute walk from hotel. It is nice to stroll along lush, green surrounding. The overall service is excellent, especially the butler service. Kara and Luke gave were always ready to help. Room is superb, and we enjoy the simple elegance with touch of Thai accents. Breakfast is enjoyable, even though the kitchen is not large. The staff is professional and courteous, and menu selection is delicious, efficiently arranged. Lots of interactions with guests making us feel welcome. Front office staff is very welcoming. Whitney was very gracious, taking her time to help us check out late because of our evening flight.
"Beautiful Hotel Excellent Service "
This hotel has excellent service. We were a large group of guys and they took care of all our transportation and restaurant reservations. We had several rooms. The two bed room suites were large enough and the in house blue tooth sound system was top notch. This is the perfect hotel for a party.
"An oasis in the heart of the hustle & bustle of BKK! "
Awesome and splendid 3 night stay, with a complimentary upgrade of room, butler service serving us pots of teas and endless cookie supply, relaxing time at the spa with their hot and cold pools, and even a short 5 min free massage by the pool. Despite the hustle and bustle of life in BKK, this hotel was really an oasis where you can get some quiet time to yourself. Best of all it is also conveniently located, within walking distance to Chit Lom BTS and right next to Rachadamri BTS. Thanks to the team for taking good care of us, especially the ones at the spa where we had to borrow their phone to make numerous calls due to a flight delay. Yes this hotel is indeed pricey for BKK given how competitive the market is but it's worth the price for all the add ons (:
"Very Nice stay"
My stay for four night on business trip was very good during September2017. Spacious neat and clean rooms, very good spread of buffet break fast and lunch.( vegetarians you would get disapointed as there are very few options )
"Upgrade your choice of hotel. It's worth it for the amenites"
I know when I tell you staying at a place that costs more will 1. deliver a better experience and 2 end up costing the same amount, you'll only believe half of that. But they're both true, especially if you're an SPG member. Our stay was flawless. Went with a colleague before a conference. Used points. I'm a platinum member. Leveraged the concierge to book a car from the airport due to late arrivals. This was my first time at a St Regis. Overwhelmingly pleasant and helpful staff. Free wonderful delivered coffee in china cups not paper ones - with little cookies that change every day. Is that worth changing where you stay, no but its not just one thing here. It's a lot of them. Also a wee bit of laundry, pressing and shoe shine. ---So you look happy, alert and sharply dressed. Yes, you have a butler but it's more just about the immediacy of service. Again, if you're a status member, choose breakfast not points. (I wish I could underline this). There is no comparison. Also avail yourself of the afternoon canapes and cocktails. ---especially the mocktails that give you magnificent fruity options View from the room was nice. And about that room. It was funny, when I said to my friend it's not the largest room...then I realized I was sitting on a couch eating fruit from a platter on my coffee table. It was plenty large, and quiet. ---One teensy complaint...do something about that bathroom lighting. its dreadful. Concierges were accommodating - booked us a car for the day (really a much better option than trying to navigate and do this all yourself. seriously, just spend the 100 bucks. much easier) Amy was especially helpful. Even if you get there via an Uber, take their transport on the way out. Upon checking out, Sarin was lovely, asked if I needed anything more before they put me in the car. And, at the end, there was X at the airport, who was a blessing and Godsend and simply amazing - as he stood in the line while I ran a few last minute errands (buy book, finish my water, check my messages). There are a lot of us who would save points to get another night. I have left those days behind. The St. Regis Bangkok team convinced me that I'd rather stay well, exceptionally well.
