Das Hotel The St. Regis in Bangkok ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Das Hotel liegt an ausgezeichneter an der Ratchadamri Road, somit ist die Zu- und Wegfahrt mit dem Auto kein Problem. Auch die BTS Station ist direkt mit dem Hotel über eine gedeckte Brücke verbunden. Von der Ankunft im Hotel bis zur Abreise war das Personal in allen Bereichen immer sehr hilfsbereit, äusserst freundlich und doch sehr diskret und perfekt im Umgang mit den Gästen und den Arbeitskollegen. Das Design in den öffentlichen Bereichen und auch im Zimmer entspricht genau unseren Vorstellungen. Bei unserem Aufenthalt empfanden wir zu keiner Zeit das sich zu viele Hotelgäste an einem Platz drängten. Selbst beim wirklich sensationellen Frühstücksbüffet konnten wir in Ruhe den Tag beginnen und fühlte uns auch zu keinem Zeitpunkt irgendwie gedrängt den Platz zu verlassen. Auch am Abend im Restaurant Decanter war es eher ruhig mit einer ausgezeichneten Auswahl an hervorragenden Weinen. Wir sind froh das The St. Regis Hotel gewählt zu haben und freuen uns bereit jetzt auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt im The St. Regis Bangkok.Comment of P. Christian , Switzerland the 2017-01-28
"Luxury without customer satisfaction"
Sounds strange, doesn’t it' Upon arrival, we were placed in a fantastic large suite that included a tray of fruits and sweets at the table. We were highly impressed by the butler service available to us as well as the size of the rooms, bathrooms, and dressing rooms. The view of downtown Bangkok were amazing as well. Okay, now, we could not get our lights to turn out at night. We called for maintenance and he arrived pretty late; after most of us had fallen asleep. He was unable to repair the lighting issue so he disconnected it; therefore, we did not have lights on the next day. Anyway, we were to leave the next day and our flight was cancelled. The staff was able to allow us to stay until about 4am the next morning at a cost that was more than the entire first 24 hours. We are part of a travel group that receives a little discount, ($100) and that was not honored even though our representative had spoken with them and assured us we would get the discount. When we discussed the troubles we had with our room and not being able to sleep, the staff apologized but offered no compensation in giving us the original price or any discount of the room price. We left feeling dissatisfied in the concern for inconvenience to their customers.
The St. Regis is supposed to be the top-tier hotel in Starwood Group. But The St. Regis Bangkok does not meet my expectation as a "6-Star" hotel. As a Life Platinum Member of Starwood, I have stayed in many St. Regis in Asia Pacific and find this hotel can't match the others, such as St. Regis in Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Macau and Chengdu.
Really excellent service . Very tidy and clean. Conveniently located . The restaurants in-house offer a variety of dishes and cuisines. Have special direct access to sky walk. The sky train station accessible from the second level of the hotel which makes transportation within Bkk tolerable and reduces frustration of road traffic jams.
"Pretty awesome experience"
I've stayed at the St. Regis pretty much every time I came to Bangkok. The ambience and service never fails to disappoint. Right from when you check in to when you go to your room, its first class treatment all the way! The breakfast at the Vue (I believe that is the name) is fabulous. They've quite a spread for the entire family right from cereal to sushi etc. Something for everyone and individual tastes. The hotel is close to some major shopping malls like Central World Plaza and attractions like the Erawan Shrine. I would personally avoid shopping in these areas as the prices of merchandize is very high compared to other places. The skytrain station is also close by as are great restaurants. I've been to a lot of SPG properties worldwide, I have to believe that this is my new favorite. The way they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable is unparalleled. Highly recommended!
"Above and beyond"
Our five-night stay at the St Regis was exceptional in many ways. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the beautiful Caroline suite, with an extraordinary view over the lush green of the Sports area. We even watched the weekend horse-races at close range, from our room. The food at Zuma’s was outstanding. One of our party had unusual and demanding dietary needs: the St Regis staff at ALL times showed courteous concern and went out of their way to ensure her needs were fulfilled - even to the point of actually cooking one of her own recipes! The staff at this hotel must be the most gracious the world can offer. Highly recommended.
