"One night stay to be close to the Aiprort."
We arrived in the afternoon after canceling our previous hotel because of how horrid it was. It took awhile to check-in but that was due to trying to get two rooms next to each other and having two separate payments for each room. Parking is very expensive, 35 USD for overnight self-parking, and 42 USD for Valet parking, so if driving a rental and you have a next day flight I recommend dropping off the car that day and take the shuttle to the airport the next day. There is free internet if you are a Starwood Member, as I was one I was able to get a code to share with the other room. Sadly they don't have complimentary breakfast which is annoying if you have a morning flight and do not want to spend over 20 dollars per person and or go out and find a restaurant. But I find many hotels don't serve complimentary breakfast anymore. Rooms are a bit outdated, and our bathroom had a couple issues. But the bed was soft and comfortable which made up for that (Kinda). The hotel rooms do need to be remodeled soon, but if I am not mistaken they are doing some sort of repairs (or were). Overall the stay was good, not amazing as some other hotels I have stayed at, but it was still a lot better than our original booking at another hotel. Next time I am in LA and I need an airport hotel I probably will try the Sheraton, but yes I DO recommend this hotel.
"Efficient and comfortable as only Westin can do"
Stayed two nights while in town for business. Pick-up from the airport was quick and was in my room very quickly. All the quality I expect from Westin: a great bed, clean, comfortably, with nice toiletries in the bathroom, good towels, and quiet. Lovely and quiet. Breakfast was served a bit perfunctorily, given I was before the rush, but the quality was great. Dinner was superb, and the place was packed. My crab-cakes were divine. Pick-up back the airport absolutely fine. In short, I got what i wanted: a quality hotel that made things quick and comfortable. It was a pleasure staying there.
"Making the Best of your time at LAX"
You are at LAX, and that accomplishment probably wore you out. You are going to spend the night at LAX and are doubting that you will survive it. While nothing is going to remedy this situation, the Westin at Los Angeles Airport can help. Here is how: 1) the building has great soundproofing, 2) the Daily Grill restaurant serves more than just steaks (my trout was fresh, flaky but not overcooked, and not over salted) the breakfast was good too, 3) the staff is excellent (pleasant, not intrusive, but paying attention and anticipating what you might need), and 4) not least of all, the hotel has the Westin amenities you expect (a great bed and a dual overhead and European shower). Keep in mind, this is a practical hotel choice, not a destination. Proximity to the airport is a plus, but some of the billboards in view of your window will make you glad the kids are at home. But, if you are in town for business and are arriving late, leaving early, or both, this hotel is a great choice.
"Great customer service!"
I was traveling with my best friends for a weekend away and the Westin was our last stop before flying out of LA. We booked it to be close to the airport and give us a day to unwind before traveling. We were coming from what was supposed to be a great time in Palm Springs, but after a series of unfortunate events, were checking in feeling like the weekend was a bust. Everything went wrong from delayed flights, to lost wallets, to issues with our air bnb. Walking into the Westin we were greeted by one of the most friendly and down to earth staff members named Yuhan. He had no idea what a terrible trip we had come from and was just so authentic and helpful. He went out of his way to give us extra time the next day to accommodate our flight schedule and even went as far to provide complimentary breakfast. Not only that, but I used to live in LA and he offered tips on places to eat and go out that I hadn't even tried before. It was such a relief to feel like we were being well cared for and definitely ended our trip on a great note. The room was clean, pool was nice, and the restaurant had great food.
"An overall excellent experience"
The people are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is very clean. I arrived early for a conference and they made sure my room was ready ASAP. The food in the grill was wonderful. The shuttle from LAX and back was easy. This is a great hotel for the LAX area and I know I'll stay there again. I'm fascinated with airplanes and my window looked right at one of the runways of the airport. Awesome.
