First of all the girl who checked me in (Marian) was amazing with suggesting things to do. She brought out a map without me even asking. I used the pool and the gym which were nice. The steam room was not working which was unfortunate. The bedroom was nice and large however we were put in a room with a balcony but no view, just a large wall. The toilet and the shower area were separate which was nice considering there was an odour in the toilet area that was not caused by us ;). All in all we are still here until early tomorrow morning and I think that it is a nice hotel in a great location to walk to the old town or even rent a bike and bike throughout the city like we did.
Can't say enough good thing about our stay at the Westin. From the time we checked in until the time we left. The staff is extremely professional and friendly. Marian at reception checked us in/out. Answered questions made sure we knew were things were and could not have been nicer. Matteo in service express helped set up a sunset cruise for us, helped store our bags on the day we left and made sure a big enough taxi would be waiting for us to get all the luggage and all of us to the airport. The room was large; clean and fully furnished for all our needs. The housekeeping staff made sure everything was in order. The buffet breakfast had lots of choices and the food was very good. I hope to return one day and if I do, this hotel will be first on my list!
"Beautiful hotel, good location"
Selected the hotel because it was pet friendly and we used Starwood points. The inner courtyard has several outdoor eating venues and a beautiful garden area - great for relaxing with our dog. And the hotel is situated right on the green belt that runs around the city - great for walking, and just across the bridges from the hotel is the city proper. Easy walking to the cathedral and other sites, and many fine restaurants. We had a very large room on the second floor overlooking the courtyard, so very quiet. Large comfortable bed, sofa, desk, and a marble bathroom with large shower and bath. The staff was very helpful and suggested several restaurants - then made reservations for us at a great paella place. Parking is on-site, but seems like your car is inaccessible. To summarize, this was one of the top 3 or 4 hotels we've stayed at in the last two months in Europe.
"Great hotel and location (a bit below of Westin standards)"
This is a great hotel centrally located in Valencia. We have stayed and several Westin hotels (including the Westin in Venice) and I have say the Westin Valencia is a bit below the other Westin standards. The service at the lobby and concierge was great. Facilities are very nice, including a central patio with different types of music during dinner. The rooms looked a bit outdated but are very well maintained. The AC was not working the 1st night, however it was properly fixed and worked for the rest of our trip. The quality of the food at the breakfast buffet is ok, however the service is horrible. It is very slow, we had to ask 5 times for Nutella. They serve the english-speaking people and overlook the spanish-speaking ones. When we were given a table, it took about 10min and 5 times asking the server to get coffee. The service and food at the other restaurants (including the bar) was amazing.
"For the garden"
Very professional and helpful concierge Matteo, great barman Juan Manuel. Room is nice with a dressing room. the rooms overlooking the garden are very calm. Friends on the road side complained with the noise.
