"Comfortable hotel located downtown"
This hotel is centrally located downtown, which would be good for many business travelers. However, everyone will tell you that it's not safe to go out at night there, even for dinner, so you are pretty much stuck there in the evenings unless you take a cab somewhere. The room was very small but comfortable, and wifi is available in the rooms. The lobby area is large and comfortable (though food service in the lobby is TERRIBLE!). Food in the restaurant is good, not outstanding. During the day, there are several attractions nearby.
"Very comfortable and centrally located"
Stayed as part of a tour group so can't comment on value for money but our room was well appointed and clean. Our meal at night was first class as was our breakfast. The hotel is situated a little way from the main tourist area of the V & A Waterfront.
"Good all-around hotel"
I stayed here four nights as part of a group tour. The hotel staff were all very nice and accommodating despite having to serve a lot of people arriving and departing at the same time as part of group tours. I liked my modern, spacious room with a sizeable desk, and the shower was very good.Having a gym or fitness room would be a nice addition.
stayed for 4 nights with a group from Gate 1. Staff were proffessional, friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was excellent with once again, helpful staff. Nice decor in the restaurant - fair dinner prices with good selection. We arranged ahead to pay for a superior room with the patio/balcony but with Capetown's climate would have expected some cover. Of course, if one is a smoker, this is the only option without going down to Zen room or out front. Has a high wall with tall trees and no view. Smoking rooms on a higher floor would be a suggestion. Liked the quirky lighting and bathroom had a good size shower. No problem with wifi. Close to Game which is a smallish shopping centre with stalls out front. Cheap food there. Also walking distance to Greenmarket and a food hall. Only a $6 ride to waterfront - staff will call transport - don't take taxis. With the exception of our room position (where we experienced a lot of noise coming from downstairs - not outside) it was a most enjoyable stay - thankyou
It might not be 4 star but it is very centrally located and an easy walk to many of the city sites. Rooms are good and many modernised. We were very happy with ours. It was very busy but the staff managed this well. We could pick a few minor faults but overall we were comfortable and well provided for.
