"Nice hotel but wasn't keen on location"
The hotel itself was nice. Rooms slightly on the small side. Buffet breakfast was nice with good options. Major downside was location. Bit far out for us and didn't feel like the safest part of town. We were told not to walk around the area in the evening time.
"Clean, simple modern hotel, nice location"
Stayed here for three nights when we first arrived in Cape Town. We were traveling with a tour group and the hotel was chosen by them. It is a modern hotel, simple, clean and the neighborhood was nice and safe. Important. We walked to the Green Market, about 4-5 blocks from the hotel, to give an idea of where the location was. One day, we took a cab to the waterfront, and it was about 15-20 min. ride I think. Our room was decent size, everything updated and we had a good breakfast there each day. No complaints.
"Excellent hotel but ..."
This is an excellent hotel. The rooms are reasonable size, clean and modern decor with all the usual things like coffee making, tv, etc. Only thing is the en-suite is glass panelled which I don’t like. Breakfast was very good with eggs cooked to order and a great choice of fresh fruit. Staff are are great and helpful. Main thing is to be aware of is location. It’s is in the middle of (admittedly small) business area so it is quiet at weekend. It’s close to Company’s Garden which is a nice walk. The waterfront with wall to wall restaurants, can be walked (20 mins) but taxis are reasonable (£6). There are quite a few beggars but nothing aggressive. In conclusion if you can get this hotel at the right price, and you are aware of the location, then it’s a very good choice.
"Good breakfast, comfortable bed, central location, wifi was hit and miss"
Clean facilities, good breakfast spread and comfortable bed. Don't think you have many rooms with notable view as the hotel building is in a cbd. But due to its central location you have several options to eat nearby. Hotel would suit both business and leisure travellers due to its proximity to city centre. A nice flea-type market about 5 mins walk from the hotel too! Staff were courteous and in-room service was good too.
Stayed here for 3 nights and wasn't disappointed. Met by door staff and led into reception where they were extremely efficient and helpful. One of the staff assisted helping get tickets for table mountain for which we were very grateful - service with a smile. Our room was on the 11th floor and was clean and comfortable - tea and coffee available with biscuits. Advised to take quick showers as Cape Town suffering severe drought and collected waste water in a bucket that was emptied daily to water the plants which I thought was a good idea. Breakfast was plentiful - lots of fruit, cereals, juices, cakes as well as anything from a cooked menu. We ate dinner one evening and it was the best food we had in South Africa - lovely staff (Amanda was great) - couldn't have asked for more. All in all a fantastic small hotel
