"A good price in expensive Beijing for business"
I stayed in Beijing back in the 90's and stayed in this hotel for 3 years . Its a business hotel , its clean and OK and its business center is good . The restaurant offer good food and choice , its location is excellent and walk to subway and some meeting locations , I definitely recommend to stay here if for business
"Very poor and disappointing hotel !"
The worst hotel I have ever stayed ! Only warm plain water is available for break-fast , no coffee, tea, soya bean, or fruits. Very limited variety of foods, and the food are always not sufficient ! The plates and spoons are always wet and not enough for the guests. The counter service is bad. No luggage carrier, poor Visa payment system, no laundry service... The staff are not in good training and not friendly. The room is old and the bed is very small, air corn- very warm during midnight. NOT a good place for shopping and food. NOT recommend for anyone to stay.
Intro: I stayed here during my first trip to Beijing. It was recommended by an acquaintance and I didn’t think of it much further. Getting to the hotel: Getting to the hotel is hell. But I guess this is not the hotels fault, I’d say it’s Beijing in general. I recommend booking pick-up via your hotel, it will cost you, but it’s worth it. I’d say you should allow for at least an hour to get to the hotel from train station/airport The Location: The location is not the best. But I quite liked the area anyways, it’s not super busy but you will find some shopping malls and Starbucks a couple minutes away. The Room: The rooms as quite spacious, a bit out of date but ok. To be honest I thought it would be nicer based on the exterior and lounges/lobby. Overall impression: I would not stay here again. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel, but there are better options for similar price.
"The rate is very reasonable in the right heart of China's capital City"
Apart from its low rate, it is located in the most expensive area in Beijing. Below the hotel, there is a vast shopping centre where you can see almost all the world-famous glittering brands you can name. The centre is called Guomao Shopping Centre whose transactions rank the 2nd throughout China. For foreign tourists, there are hundreds restaurants there with different prices to meet the needs of different people while hygiene standard is the best.
"The worst in Luxury hotel"
This hotel will close soon, alrough my comment has little effect, it would give you some kind of reference. First of all, the location of the hotel is very good, lives in the center of Beijing near the China World Metro, surrounded by high-rise buildings, many kinds of high-level department stores and restaurants. Secondly, this hotel is very old, whether from the appearance or internal, you can fully feel the style of the 1970s. Facilities maintenance is also not good, curtains, bathroom, wallpaper, furniture in the room are more or less dirty, old, poor or have other issues. Thirdly, I don‘t know if it were for the closure reason, the staff’s service quality has decreased significantly, there were many episodes during my stay. Finally, although I was very dissatisfied on all aspects, I still have to praise the food in the Horizon Lounge , it is so consistent with the we Chinese taste, and this is the only point I can feel it is a Shangri-La's hotel. Summarized to say, it is not good but cheap.
