We visited in 2016 and came back in 2017, both times memorable and excellent. We had a wonderful room each time, very comfortable and nothing has been forgotten. Staff at the pool, bar, spa, restaurant and housekeeping are great - they are professional, polite and without doubt helped make our holidays memorable. Receptionist was rather frustrated with... life I think. The restaurant serves delicious food for breakfast and dinner with a great variety. Would highly recommend staying here, you won't regret it.
"A Jewel in Dubrovnik"
We had an absolutely amazing time at Valamar Dubrovnik President Hotel. The area, the staff, the amenities, the food, attention to detail and the cleanliness..all was fantastic. We stayed in a V-level room and it was lovely..well appointed and well worth it, even with the extra price tag. I must make special mention of Ana..who welcomed us and was always so friendly and polite that it seemed we knew her a very long time. At the 'special creator's desk' we were always treated with the knowledge ,willingness to assit wonderful smile of Mathematics (sic). Our breakfasts times were always made much more special with Marko who assured us..a very special person. We would definitely like to return for a few days to this Jewel of a hotel.
"Luxurious and friendly "
I stayed a week and it was just amazing. Walking into the foyer, it took my breath away. I could see out to see and could see a cruise ship going by. Checkin was a little slow but I had a glass of sparkling to get me relaxed. I was assisted to my room and it wasn’t made up. There was obviously some communication problem but was shown to a freshly made up room and the staff were very apologetic. I ate at the buffet dinner most nights which had good variety. It’s a good choice, if you can afford it. The staff recognise you after a couple of days and it makes you feel at home. The sunset view from my room was simply amazing and falling asleep to the sound of the days is something I still think about. It’s a bus ride into the old town is easy and about 15 minutes or so. Can get crowded during the day but thins out once you are getting closer to the hotel. It’s quite dark up there when you are returning at night so can be a bit disorientating so make sure you don’t miss your stop. I did and ended up doing the loop again. The beach was nice to spend the day. In early June, the ocean was quite cool and difficult to access as you have to walk over pebbles. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Dubrovnik and would go again at that time of year (just not in peak July as the crowds would be unbearable in the old town)
This hotel is one of my favourite places, the views are breathtaking, they are actually better than what is shown in advertisements. From the very first time you enter the reception area, the sea view is like a painted mural, its amazing to think, that its actually the view. This part of your beautiful country is spectacular, we love it here and dont want this holiday to end. The hotel staff are all amazing, the rooms are cleaned every day,the breakfasts are filling. Lovely facilities for everyone, it gives you peace and tranquility, when you want it, and you can catch the local bus to andfrom dubrovnik busy town when you want the hustle and bustle of the town, its got the lot, We highly recommend this beautiful hotel,
"Luxurious and great sea views"
The hotel is much larger than it looks from the front as it is stepped into the cliffs at the rear and the views over the sea are excellent. The staff were very attentive and the food was superb. There is a bus stop outside which takes you to the old town where you can take the cable cart to the top of the hill to see even better views over the harbor. On the beach you can hire jet skies or just sun bathe on the many sun loungers.
