"Perfect hotel in Montreal"
I've now had a chance to stay here on 2 different occasions, both for work. The hotel is nicely situated w/ access to the financial district (though a walk uphill to get there) and then down towards the waterfront. Rooms are spacious, modern in the classic W style. The restaurant in the lobby is actually quite good - for both breakfast and for lunch. The bar is reasonably happening in the evenings. The lobby is a bit dark (sometimes hard for the eyes to adjust especially when coming in from a sunny day). All in all, not a bad thing that I can say about this hotel and I would be delighted to stay here again.
"Customer Event success "
I had the pleasure of speaking at a customer event/seminar this week. We hosted it in the W Hotel. The staff was really top notch. I mean excellent! Everything was organized, clean and ready ahead of time. Funky hotel with a great vibe. Thank you again!
"SUPERB STAY - Great Service"
I worked closely with the hotel to book a trip as I was going with a big group for a special occasion. My group and I an great experience and the hotel actually made the event to be as awesome as it could. The only 2 items I would work on is listed below: PRO's: -Great Hotel Service/Friendly Staff -Centrally located -Nice Decor -Great bar -Comfortable beds. CON's: -In room dining can be worked on. Food isn't great. Thank you W hotel for everything! We had a great time.
"BEST HOTEL IN MONTREAL!! BOOK NOW!"
I'm an advocate traveler who has flown over 150k miles just this year and have visited about 75% major global cities thus far and stayed at the best hotels globally. I visited the W last weekend for my bachelor party and was one of thew best weekends of my life and I own this to the staff at the W hotel. They were very accommodating with a large party and set us up at the best restaurants in Montreal. I had a hard time getting rez at restaurants for a party of 20 and Caroline at the W was able to get the job done. She got us beyond the velvet ropes at the hottest clubs/bars and was treat extra special because we were staying at the W. The Hotel bar was really good, great music and friendly staff. I will only stay at the W hotel when I visit Montreal. Below is a letter I sent to the General Manager of the hotel. Hello Christina, You should be very honored to have such an amazing staff running your hotel. I have traveled to Sardinia, London, Paris, St Maarten, Aruba, Mexico, Mykonos, Santorini, and almost every major city in the US (LA, San Fran, San Diego Napa, Orange County, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Vegas, Salt Lake City, Tahoe, etc) and your hotel staff has exceeded all of my expectations. I’m never one to write reviews due to my business schedule and here I am the morning after returning back from Montreal typing an email praising your staff instead of reading/responding to over 400 emails. Caroline and Camille, thank you both for one of the best weekends of my life with my closest friends and family. I truly feel that if it wasn’t for the both of you and the extended staff at the W Hotel this trip wouldn’t have been as EPIC and unforgettable as it was. Caroline you are AMAZING at what you do and truly know the ins and outs of the city. Upon our arrival at 1230pm 95% of our rooms were ready and we were able to change and get ready to have lunch. Our first day you recommended a Portuguese restaurant (forgot the name) for lunch and it was OUTSTANDING and the service was impeccable. I love Chinese food and anywhere I travel I visit a Chinese food place. After lunch I visited your concierge desk and the young lady recommended Mon Han and it was one of the best Chinese food restaurants I have visited in my life. Friday night we visited Beatrice based on your recommendation and again a fantastic restaurant with homemade pasta with terrific service. After dinner we went to Bord elle and that was another homerun. Saturday for lunch you recommended Deville Dinerbar and another great experience with FANTASTIC burgers and service. Saturday night you recommended La Voute and got us a table and bottle service. After I confirmed with you, a young lady called my 30 mins later to confirm my reservation, which put me at ease because in NYC it’s always very hard to get into clubs with 15 males. Almost every night we visited the bar in the lobby and the staff (bouncers, DJ, and servers) were very accommodating, especially the manager. On top of everything during the whole weekend you were texting and calling me to if we needed anything and to make sure we are having a time of our life, which we were. The weather wasn’t as good as we would have liked but I feel that if it wasn’t for you and the W hotel staff this trip wouldn’t have been so GRAND!! Please also send my thank you to the housekeepers as they were very polite and the rooms were very clean and the valet/doormen as they helped us with getting cabs etc. I have a new respect for Montreal and can say confidently that I will be visiting your beautiful City again in the near future and my loyalty will be with the W Hotel. Whenever anyone asked me about Montreal I will speak so highly of Montreal but also will add that the staff at the W hotel made it an unforgettable vacation. I’m looking forward to my next trip to Montreal.
Overall a very good hotel as just as you would expect it when you are familiar with the W brand. It is a very cool place with cool and super friendly staff. Everything is very modern and trendy. So you feel really totally cool when you stay there. Only down point are some of the features of the rooms for example you do not have a 2 way switch for the lights which means you have to get out of bed and go to the door to switch off the lights. This was really annoying. The aircon switch as well was really badly placed. For this level of hotel you would expect these details to be better thought. The restaurant downstairs is also very nice. The lobster benedict for breakfast was superb! Overall still a great place to stay!
