Been at 2 different bars of this hotel for different occasions. Nice and fancy atmosphere. The rooftop one had amazing views of the city. Haven't stayed at the hotel rooms, so I can not comment on that. But in general the hotel is nice with helpful staff. Located in a high-end neighbourhood of Santiago.
"Love this hotel"
Great location, nice new hotel, fun place to stay, decent breakfast. Overall a typical W experience. Its a nice change from a normal hotel and i really enjoyed it... I would recommend this hotel for any business traveler. there are some good restaurants right around the corner and its in the middle of the business district. I highly recommend.
"Stylish hotel with a great location, breathtaking views and friendly staff"
My boyfriend and I spent 5 nights in this hotel during our recent vacation in Chile. We were already familiar with the W brand, having stayed at their properties in Verbier and Paris previously, so we knew more or less what to expect. While I love it, the W design isn’t everyone’s cup of tea: The lobby, rooms and corridors are quite dark with lots of black, purple, and dark brown tones. You do feel like you are entering some kind of bubble when you step inside and there’s subtle electronic beats following you around wherever you go. For us it served as a nice escape from our busy work lives. The hotel is located in Las Condes, an upscale neighborhood that is home to lots of restaurants, offices and a huge shopping mall. The taxi from the airport cost us 24000 Chilean Pesos (~36 USD). To go downtown it takes about half an hour by Metro, but we only did that once to see the main landmarks. On other days we booked trips to wineries around Santiago - The Wine & Bike is highly recommendable. We stayed in a “Spectacular” room with a balcony. It was large and featured (almost) all the amenities you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. I have to admit I missed a kettle/coffee maker, but they do offer free coffee in the lounge every morning. The bed was very comfy and we appreciated the large desk/working area. It was great to have a choice between a walk-in shower and bathtub as well. The balcony never got much sunlight so we barely used it, but the chaise lounge next to the window was a great spot to take in the city views. The fact that a lot of the furniture is black means that scratches and dents are easy to spot, so parts of the room looked a little worn. The W offers several restaurants and bars, some of which seem to have an excellent reputation with locals. Our rate included breakfast, which was served in their main restaurant NoSo. It was good but nothing to write home about. Unfortunately the staff didn’t speak English very well, so my boyfriend had to ask several people before someone understood that he was looking for gluten-free bread. Since we stayed here for 5 nights it would have been nice if they remembered his order after a while, but he learned how to ask for it in Spanish and that worked. Our biggest mistake was to only visit the pool on our last day. It’s on the top floor, with breathtaking views of the city and Andes in the background. Since the majority of guests seem to be there for business it is unlikely to get crowded during weekdays, and the bar right next to it means you never have to go thirsty. Make sure to make use of it as much as you can! God, that was a long review. Most importantly we would like to give a huge shout out to the excellent Front Office team. Nothing was too much trouble for them. When we arrived after a 15-hour flight at 10 am in the morning we were welcomed by Edgard, who not only ensured we would get a room as soon as possible but also gave us drink vouchers to use in the Lounge while we waited. We likely also have him to thank for the wonderful room we were given on our last night, after returning from a 2-day trip to Valparaiso. Even though Edgard couldn’t be there himself, his colleague Pablo did everything to make our stay a memorable one: He gave us a top floor room with a corner balcony that was easily as big as the room itself and had views into three different directions. The sunset we experienced while sipping some of the rose wine that was delivered to us in the evening, with compliments from Whatever/Whenever, were something else. The check-in and check-out with Edgard, Pablo and Dani were smooth and easy, and the team was always incredibly friendly. That includes Eliene, the Concierge, who patiently answered all our questions and helped us book several trips. She was very personable and even remembered little bits of information we told her over the course of our stay. Thanks a lot for a great holiday, W Santiago!
"Looking old ..."
I feel that W Santiago is loosing the W spirit. Room needs a little refresh as well as the bar. Staff needs training to service clientèle paying full price or not. Breakfast is very good with smiling team !
"The best place I could ever imagine to celebrate my 10th Wedding Anniversary!"
I have booked a long weekend trip to Santiago with my husband in order to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary. Having known many hotels in Santiago as a business traveller, I knew that I definitively wanted something different. That's when I decided to book W Hotel Santiago. Even knowing that services in W Hotels are in general over the average, I could never expect such detailed care and attention to me and my husband. We spent terrific 4 days in the city, having visited gorgeous places and restaurants, all by indication from the sweetest concierge ever. And our special dinner night could not have ended in a better way! Mrs Giuliana Biondo, the W Experience Manager, surprised us with great bubbles and strawberries to keep up the night in amazing style and energy! Thanks to all staff from W Hotels for taking such good care of us!
