"I wouldn't stay here again"
Only booked this property because it was part of SPG and was thoroughly disappointed. Booked the mono room because i have read how small the pantone room is, but the mono room (advertised as 20sqm on their website) still sucked. There was barely any space. The level 2 corridor smelt of mildew and the same smell perpetuated into the room. It was so bad, it made the stay miserable. The hotel needs to invest in a dehumidifier badly. Also housekeeping starts knocking on your door early in the morning to check when the guest is checking out. Is there no coordination between front desk and house keeping' Are we still living in the medieval age' Doors are not soundproof, so expect to hear vacuum and loud chatters by housekeeping staff from 9am onwards. Considering the price point, head over to the Four Points, Hilton Garden Inn or Holiday Inn Expresses
"A Gem in Little India"
All the staff at the Wanderlust Hotel are as friendly and helpful as can be. Upfront, there is a deposit that must be paid for each night of your visit, so be prepared to pay upfront for you stay, even if you already paid in full. Breakfast each morning included your choice of one hot item and free reign of the continental breakfast items at the bar. The rooms are TINY and the bathrooms are exposed to the room. So the place is perfect if you are traveling alone (like I did) or if you are with a significant other. Sharing a room with a friend might get awkward with an exposed shower and toilet unless one person leaves the room to give the other some privacy. They provided a handheld device that I could use each day for navigating the city. This was a GODSEND so that I could save my actual phone batter while out and about. It's not very close to any subway stops, but there are two within a 10-12 minute walk. Can get a bit loud at night as the restaurants on the street are open very late hours. A great spot to rest, and an eclectic lobby make Wanderlust a fun place to stay for a few days in Singapore.
Since I'm travelling for 8 months, one could say that I'm representing wanderlust. It was therefore quite clear that I'd have to stay at this hotel when stopping by in Singapore. And I loved it! I loved the interior design and the concept of the hotel. Breakfast was also super yummy! I will definitely be back!
"Filthy! Heavy Renovations, Beware!"
First, this hotel is under heavy loud renovation as of August 2017. Booked through SPG App, no mention of renovation. No rest during the day. Located in a neat neighborhood. All staff encountered were friendly. The good stops there. The condition of the room I was given was unbelievable. Filthy bathroom. The pictures speak for themselves. Staff said this was the BEST room available and all their "good" rooms were under renovation. After seeing the bathroom horrow show, I immediately checked out and left. This place should closed down.
"Very impressive service"
Great location in Little India part of Singapore. Generally we were very happy with our stay and two things in particular impressed us. One was the fact we were given a mobile phone with internet access which we could tether our phones to. Very handy for going around the city. Secondly, our flight on the day of check out was 11pm but the check out time for the hotel was 12pm. Obviously, Singapore can be a very hot and sticky city but they offered us a shower room before we go to the airport so we could get onto our long haul flight feeling fresh. Very nice touch!
