"Quirky little boutique hotel"
If you like quirky boutique hotels, then this one is one of them. The rooms are pretty much as they are on the website pics, although a little worn. They are clean and cosy. The mini bar is free. Internet is quick. Unfortunately the noise from the corridor travels into your room at night, so take ear plugs.. There is a lovely cafe/restaurant in the building, which, oddly, you can not charge to your room so be prepared to pay for your coffee meals etc.. The area is pretty neat to explore. Little India is exactly that! I booked through my Starwood membership. I booked for 2 nights, and admittedly checked out a day early (and into somewhere else). Needless to say, the hotel, for me, has a 1 or 2 night limit, obviously 1 in this case, and no, I wouldn't go back, but it was nice enough, and value for money.
"Pass on this olace"
The front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly. That’s really the only nice thing I have to say about this place. Each room has a unique interior design, but it’s very cramped with very awkward open bathrooms. Definitely uncomfortable when sharing with someone else. Street noise is not helpful. Pay more and stay elsewhere.
"Interesting experience in the Pantone room"
We did a staycation here for 2 nights. We got the Purple pantone room. Our overall experience was pretty good and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Pros: 1. Very clean hotel. I like it when every nook and corner of the room is clean, and Wanderlust had it. 2. Comfortable and very cozy bed. 3. Bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. (I was wary of glass doors as seen in pics, but actually, the glass is frosted so that was good). 4. Room service is good. Supplies like te/coffee, shower gel/shampoo, dental kit were provided and replenished when needed. 5. Friendly desk staff. 6. Location is pretty central. When we stayed here, the nearest MRT station was about 10-15 min walk from the hotel. But now there is a new station just 2-3 min away. Cons: 1. Not meant for family or business travelers. 2. Rooms are costly. I understand the uniqueness of the hotel, but I feel the cost is quite high for the room and service.
"Specially designed, wonderful boutique hotel"
The rooms design so specially, and some are so colorful. It s true that the rooms are all quirky and something different than the hotel you would stay normally. Love the unique design, however we would wish that the room be a little bit more spacious. It is consider a tiny room for us. Overall, it is clean and tidy, unique design, and good location.
"STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY"
The receptionist people was NOT friendly at all (maybe this is because of the way singporean). NO SPG plat recognition. The people did not even offer me to carry my luggage. i carried my luggage alone to my room. The AC is broken. It was VERY HOT. i could not sleep at that night. I asked the receptionist and they claimed that the AC needs 30 mins for cooling. I waited till 2 AM for the AC to cool but the room was still hot. The room temp says 26 Celcius. I Could NOT sleep for the night till 4 AM. The next morning, I noticed there is an “error” code blinking in the control panel. I asked about the broken AC, the front desk guy did NOT even apologize even after i saw 3 people left after working the AC at 6 PM the next day. I am completely disappointed. Totally wasted my hard-earned money for this crappy hotel. STAY AWAY from this property. Totally unlike other spg properties. I should entitled for compensation for this inconvenience. Also, the room does NOT even put pen and paper in the room. The chair is pretty much torture chair. The internet connection is freaking slow. I ended using my data roaming from my iphone as personal hot spot.
