Not that great, very noisy and almost out of control. At first I thought it was spring break but realized it was well past that time of year. All day and all night the younger groups yelled and talked at the top of there lungs just outside the rooms, not a great place to relax.
"Better Than Expected"
Family stayed at this location for Mother's Day weekend, which was our second time here. It was completely relaxing. The amenities, such as the pool/ pool side drinks and meals, tennis court, and outdoor BBQ area prevented my family from having to seek off-ground activities. The villa was spacious, comfortable and clean. I honestly have no complaints about this stay. I will definitely stay here again.
"Not the standard definition of a villa"
I gave a 1 rating as I expected a proper "VILLA". If one were not so duped beforehand, it might've been perfectly acceptable. Instead, I was terribly disappointed. We had a devil of a time getting there. The GPS took us to the parking lot of a rehabilitation hospital. We drive all around, and then finally arrived. It was already after dark. We got our key and started to go look for it. All we saw were a number of tall, block buildings, looking for all the world a typical Motel 6. I urged my husband to drive further on as there MUST be villas somewhere. We saw a great deal of construction going on, and we went to the end of the road and still no villas. So when we drove back, we looked for the number and found that it was indeed in one of those tall block buildings. We were on the uppermost floor and when we came it, it did look like a motel. We entered to the living room and the kitchen and dining room off to the side. There was a short hallway with the bathroom on one side and the bedroom in a separate room with a door. There was also a sliding glass door onto a balcony. The kitchen had a cook top but no oven. I expected it to be a VILLA and packed items for meals which needed to be baked. There was a refrigerator and no ice. There was also a microwave oven and dishwasher. We were awakened early in the morning by the sound of construction which was directly across the way. This rendered the balcony useless owing to noise and dust and the general environment quite noisy. We were there 2 nights and were happy to be checking out. What a shame.
"Bad experience with housekeeping..."
My husband and I stayed here for the first time may 5-12th. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly employee at the front desk. He told us they had upgraded us to a premium villa (instead of the limited kitchen we had booked). They also had been able to grant our requests of a top floor and pool view. We were very please and grateful. Made it to our room noticed we were in the building right beside construction. (thankfully we truly did not find the contruction bad at all. A bit of banging during the week days but we also were warned ahead of time so no big deal). Upon arrival to our room we noticed right away that the housekeeping must have missed the floors during cleaning. The carpet was filthy everywhere (especially around and under the kitchen table was covered in food from the last guests). Bathroom floor hadn't been mopped. Called the front desk right away and kindly mentioned it and they said they would sent housekeeping right away. Came back to our room later and one spot from the kitchen floor had been mopped but all the other mess was still there. Decided to forget about it as my husband and I really aren't complainers about things like that. Next day we went to eat some lunch on the deck and realized the ENTIRE thing is covered in toe nail clippings...no joke! We have stayed at westins and Marriott's consistently for over 12 years and have never seen rooms in this state. So I decided to kindly mention it to the front desk. The girl there was super apologetic and assured me this was not up to their standards. She gave us a bit of a credit to our account and sent housekeeping up again. Came back later in the day to the floors cleaned but the deck still covered in toe nails. Husband and I decided just to sweep it off ourselves. Also during our stay the pool heater broke or was not working so the pool didn't actually get warm enough to swim in until our last 2 days. Decided 2 days to try out the main pool and they were jackhammering up both of the hot tubs so it was so noisy there wasn't 1 person at the pool. Ate lunch and breakfast at their agave restaurant and both were delicious! Still would like to stay here again and hopeful we would have a better experience next time.
Went in March for my sons birthday. We had a good time at the living desert zoo but the hotel was a let down. The room was fine and clean but the pool was so far away from the villa and it took ages for the golf cart to pick us up. Once at the pool we find out there's a height restriction for the slide and they're so strict about it! So we tried again the next day with pony tail on top of my daughters head, measured by the same guy and she gets in. The resturant by the pool is dirty. The chairs had food on them, clearly not cleaned from the day before because we were the first people there that day. The cushions all stained and the outside area by the fire pit even worse. Dirty and dusty table looks like its never been wiped down. I get it, it's in the desert, it's going to be dusty but they should still try to clean it once in a while. We booked because we thought it was a new hotel, not by the look of those cushions. I will not be recomending this place to friends.
