"Simple but perfect"
Found this little gem in Cherbourg through trip advisor and so glad I did, my family of 4 stayed here for two nights before our ferry home to Ireland. The hotel is small and basic, BUT exceptionally clean! Staff were polite and friendly, so many lovely places to pick to eat we went for room only. Only down side is the car park, its tiny but I had booked ahead so it was no problem. Would love to stay again!
"Culmination of Three Week Trip"
My wife and I spent our final days in France with a four-night stay at the Hyatt du Louvre. I had stayed at this location before and was anxious to return with my wife. This is a great property staffed by wonderful people with a fantastic location. The property is undergoing a total renovation and half the rooms are closed until later in 2018. Fanny, the GM, was unnecessarily apologetic for what she and the staff view as inconvenience for the guests. Even with the small inconveniences this property is well worth considering for a stay in Paris.
"Paris Family Trip"
We loved our stay. The location was amazing, right next to the Louvre. Easy walk to all the major attractions. Staff were great and the good in the Bistro was very good. Lots of other restaurants nearby, as well as the subway. Hotel is undergoing renovations, but there was no noise or disruption. Room was comfortable, but did not enjoy the bathroom. The tub was very difficult to get into. A simple shower would be so much better.
"Excellent location but not wowed"
Excellent location but room felt very old and very outdated. A lot nicer rooms available for cheaper elsewhere. The hotel was in the process of being renovated though, so maybe after that it will be nicer.
"Awesome service and location"
Yes, the hotel is being majorly renovated. The entrance is now on the Rue du Rivloli side, rather than the listed Place Andre Malraux. But a lot of Paris is being renovated to make it even more beautiful and sustainable for residents and tourists. It's just the cost of visiting a city that's centuries old. We experienced nothing but gracious service and care from the hotel during our 4-day stay. The wonderful Martin checked us in and quickly apologized for the inconvenience of the construction. He lead us to our room on the 4th floor, located on a quiet, non-accessible courtyard, and reminded us that a concierge could help us with dinner reservations. The bathroom was enormous, almost half the size of the room. WiFi was complimentary as well as two small bottles of Evian every night (there's a mini bar, if you need more). Our concierge Chloe helped us multiple restaurant reservations and recommendations, and was so pleasant and efficient. One construction-related incident did happen, but did not inconvenience us. On Friday, water was turned off around 4 pm ... we noted that, didn't really need the water right then, and just took a nap. It was back on by the time we woke up a hour later. I think there is no construction on the week-end. Gym and bar are closed now, but brasserie is open. You cannot get a more central location in Paris (other than being on the 2 islands). To the south you have the Louvre and direct access from its courtyard to the Left Bank. To the north you have the Opera, Bourse, Galleries Lafayette, Palais Royal. All are walking distance if you don' t have mobility challenges. If you want to take the metro, a stop is right behind the hotel as well as a bus line that will take you to Notre Dame. I recommend this hotel NOW (or before early 2018) ... I only gave the 4 starts due to the renovation state. I'm sure once it's all completed the rates will go up, so now's a good time to stay.
