"Ideal for relaxing break"
Our third visit - booked this time through Nordica Rentals who are highly recommended for their service. The apartment was excellent- very clean and had everything you need for a relaxing get away from it all break. Superb terrace with really nice sun loungers and furniture generally. Spiral staircase access to terrace so not suitable for young children or anyone with mobility issues. Aloha Gardens itself a secure gated complex beautifully kept with 3 pools and stunning views from the east and west facing sides particularly of La Concha. Walking distance to two decent supermarkets, good Aloha mini Market, restaurants and bars and good ones on the doorstep, taxi rank right opposite the waterfall so easy access to all places if you don’t hire a car. Recommended.
"Aloha gardens stay"
I stayed at Aloha Gardens in house number 23 which is located straight up from reception and is the end/last house.I stayed for the month of September with my 27 month old and my partner who came and went from back home. The house itself on first impression seemed dated and I wasn't saying wow and running around. However over time I came to love it I guess I got use to it. It could be really impressive by having a re-paint, nicer sofa and curtains etc but as it's a holiday rental it wouldn't be worth it I suppose. The outside of he house needed re painting really and the walk up from reception all the way up to the house was a little depressing and needs to be released done. The rest of the gardens are very well kept, if you walk around the complex the rest of it (except this path from reception) is nice. There are 3 pools and kids play ground. A massive downside is that the walls are paper thin, and I mean paper thin. I could hear people using the toilet for both, vomiting, all conversations as if they were in my room! I wouldn't actually mind this if it had been a girls holiday but I took my 2 year old so it wasn't great. I had a leaking toilet one evening, I told reception the follingenitourinary morning and by the time I returned later that day it had been repaired, no complaints about reception from me. The restaurants are all nice and there's a taxi rank just outside. It takes approx 20 min walk to the port, I knew the area before as iv stayed in the area a few times just never at this complex. All in all, if I was going here for a giris holiday I'd consider this placentury, but I probably won't return as a family. Sorry :(
We stayed here for three nights and found it very comfortable. They were also very helpful with tickets needed and dining recommendations. It was very central to areas we were visiting and the pool was great. Sabrina was extremely helpful as were the other staff. Would recommend it to others. Great value for our money. Very safe and clean.
This is a lovely place and in a great setting. The apartments are old but kept very clean. Lovely place to have breakfast and very peaceful. Nice pizza making place where I was allowed to have a go at making my own!
"A tired apartment.........."
I know this area well, having both 'golfed' and holidayed here on a number of occasions. We're extremely fortunate to have a holiday home here, however, when golfing with 7 other friends we've previously used the Melia, Coral Beach and H10 hotels. We decided on a change of venue, giving Aloha Gardens 'a go'. Location cannot be faulted - although 'the port' will always be an attraction, don't discount the bars and restaurants around Aloha Gardens - less hectic, very pleasant and half the price. Although this review relates to a golf trip from May 2017, my wife and I have just returned from 12 days at the house (walking distance from Aloha Gardens) and I highly recommend the two Indian restaurants, Tuk Tuk for Asian fusion and The Brasserie for cocktails. Back to Aloha Gardens....8 chaps on a golf trip. We were not that bothered with the self-catering aspect of the stay - we ate out morning, noon and night. 1. The reception staff are lovely. 2. The apartment for 8 was in need of a refurb. Agreed, its pretty good value when the cost is shared across 8 of you but our particular unit was very tired indeed. I get the impression that some of the apartments are privately owned, and then rented out as an investment. Some of these may exhibit a bit more tlc, but ours was pretty poor in truth. 3. The grounds were well maintained. 4. I booked via Booking.com and had to pay a non-refundable amount of 25% upfront. This was policy for Aloha Gardens. We arrived quite late in the evening and the following morning I stuck my head into reception to say 'hello'. They were overly keen to secure the payment of the remaining 75% payment. At that particular time, being rushed for time, I confirmed with them that I would return later that day to make payment - they seemed more than happy with this. However, on returning to our apartment in the afternoon I was greeted with a letter, requesting payment in full immediately, otherwise 'action' would be taken!!!! We were/are 8 middle aged friends, all fine upstanding members of the community (give or take)....did they really think we were going to do a 'runner'''!! Somewhat unnecessary, and a bit 'sad' really. Banus will always be popular, we're returning this autumn, and Aloha Gardens will always be popular. It is reasonable value for money but you need to get your paintbrush out and trust your clientele a bit more. Some of us are there so as to enjoy a holiday experience........ To those of you considering this establishment, cost isn't everything and look at the alternatives. However, don't ignore the area as there's enough going on here to give you at least an option for an evenings entertainment. We return for golf in September/October - booked in the H10 - but we will be up to Aloha Gardens for the restaurants on a couple of occasions before re-locating to the port for a few G n T's.
