This hotel was awesome. So close to everything!!Comment of D. Ashley , United States the 2016-02-17
The customer service was fantastic! Had a great stay but the walls are a bit thin when people come and go or their phones ring.Comment of C. Karen , United States the 2016-02-17
Everone on the hotel staff was friendly and courtuous from the ballman to the desk clerks to the managers. Without even asking, they assigned me a handicapped room as they saw my difficulty walking.Comment of D. John , United States the 2015-07-21
Very nice rooms, accommodating and friendly staff. Great central location for shopping, museums and restaurants. We stay here every year during One of a Kind Show at Merchandise Mart.Comment of M. VICKI , United States the 2015-07-12
Very nice hotel in a good location with lovely views. Facilities were a bit limited for such a large hotel. I would have been good to have an indoor pool.Comment of D. Martin , United Kingdom the 2015-07-01

Had a great experience. Elevators seemed a little slow but what do you expect it's the largest hotel around :)Comment of L. Leigh , United States the 2014-07-01
Our room was ready upon check in. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and made nice recommendations based on our questions. The location was perfect for our adventures - baseball/theater/biking.Comment of J. Janet , United States the 2014-06-06
Danach lief alles okay. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dieses Hotel auswählen.Comment of D. Great hotel, the conference was great. I think they could do a little extra to make the rooms a little cleaner. The restaurant staff and check in staff were excellent. The food is good. The drinks are fairly expensive.
"$43 charge for a 17 minute phone call"
This hotel was good overall. However, upon my arrival I needed to speak to my boss back home. I was on my cell and the connection was awful. I would later find that cell service throughout the hotel was spotty at best. I hung up my cell and called back on the hotel phone and we spoke for 17 minutes. Upon checking out, I saw I incurred a $43 charge for a 17 minute long distance phone call! I was absolutely astonished. I'm sure it's in the fine print somewhere and I did make the call but cmon, long distance phone calls have been free of charge since the mid nineties! Upon calling the hotel to discuss the charge, they told me they use an operator service and that's the reason for the charge. They agreed to take 50% of the charge off as a one time courtesy. That's not really sufficient to me and I will re-consider staying at a Hyatt again as a result of this experience.
"Excellent customer service "
I stayed two nights during a business trip. The hotel staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating. My room was refreshingly clean and modern. The tv was huge! The location was difficult to get to due to rush hour chaos but on the positive side the hotel had easy access to shopping. I would definitely stay here again.
"Nice Typical Hyatt"
This large conference hotel had all the usual Hyatt amenities and was very quiet considering the size of it – two towers. I highly suggest staying in the East tower since it was closer to the main part of the hotel which has the concierge, lobby, a marketplace that serves Starbucks and a restaurant. It is also very centrally located and close to the main loop. Tip: Ask to stay in the East tower
"Stay during the How Design Live Conference"
I stayed at the Hyatt Regency for 5 days during the How Design Live Conference. It was ultra convenient to stay at the same hotel as the conference, and they had some rooms blocked off with a small discount because of this. The conference ballrooms were really nice, but really spread apart so there was definitely a lot of walking around and got very crowded quickly. My room was on the 8th floor in the west tower, so I had a nice view of some offices and the street. As for food in the hotel, there is a nice little market where you can grab fresh baked goods and Starbucks coffee on the 1st floor. The American Craft Kitchen and Bar has a pretty good burger too. If you have time, I would still recommend going out and eating some authentic Chicago food. There is a Giordano's pretty close by. The location of the hotel is is blocks away from the heart of the city and the river. While on an architecture boat tour, I learned that the Hyatt Regency on Wacker has the most rooms in the city and often houses professional athletes while in town! ;-)
