"Definitely coming back"
Stayed for 2 nights. the nicest staff I've met! We came with a car so they helped us with the parking (which is rather complicated in this area of Madrid ans super expensive 20-32 EUR a day !'). The rooms were very clean, the location is best and over all I have only good things to say about out stay.
"Restaurant is good too!"
A modern hotel with an absolutely central location. My room seemed smaller than the one I had 5 years ago but still clean and comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel is very good and one of the few that doesn't open late. That means you can have a good meal at 7 which is not easy in Spain. Breakfast is pricy but the good coffee helps make it worth it.
"Very good Hotel"
The hotel is very clean and quite, Staff are helpful to the extreme limits. Room may be smaller than usual but was enough to accommodate us, and it was a good deal for the price. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my and family friends planning to visit Madrid
"Felt Like Home"
Judging from my co-reviewers, Preciados obviously doesn't need any help from me. However, i feel obligated to acknowledge the experience my wife and I had on two recent stays. (both in May, 2017) The hotel is very centrally located and adjacent to as much cuisine and night-life as anyone could ask -- several popular restaurants in the same block, for example, including the one in the hotel itself. It is also quiet walkable to the museums and historical venues of interest (20 mins to El Prado, for example). What I like most about the area was that the percentage of tourists was lower than in a lot of places we visit -- most of the folks in the area appeared to be Spaniards going about their daily lives. The rooms we had were spotless and in very good condition -- possible recently redone' -- nothing of concern there. A nice touch was that both our rooms had one outlet that accepted American style appliances -- first I've seen of that. The breakfast is quite good -- excellent European style pastries reminiscent of Paris (how do the Europeans do pears so well'), a variety of fresh fruit that really tasted like fruit, eggs served several different ways, bacon, yogurt, cereals -- all the things you would expect to see in a brunch-style buffet. This is quite an improvement on the continental breakfast you see in many parts of Europe and well worth the money. The hotel is auto-friendly, unlike many in Europe and the most convenient I've encountered in a major European city. You pull right up to the front, weaving through the pedestrians on a limited access street (oddly, no one seems to mind), give your keys to the attendant, and he whisks it away, somewhere. Retrieval is prompt on request, from somewhere. Rarely works this well, anywhere. The best aspect of this hotel, though, is the service. The staff are, to a man, genuinely friendly and eager to address any problems. Check-in and -out are quick, and the desk staff are eager to provide special information and make arrangements. In our case, they helped with a rental car problem and also with a purchase we needed to make, in addition to providing directions. Maite was amazing! Do you expect all this from a good hotel' Of course -- but you don't always get it. This is a first-class operation that in the end earns my respect as a businessman. I don't often review places, but these guys deserve a good word.
Loved to stay here in our Spain vacation. It is located in the center of the city, one block away from Plaza Callao and few blocks from Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Royal Palace... Calle Preciados where is located is only pedestrian zone during the night so it became full of tables and spots to eat or have a few drinks, very convenient for early breakfast or late dinner when coming back from a day of walking the city. Minibar is included in the fee and it is replaced every day. They have a restaurant that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Personnel were very attentive and useful... gave us plenty of tips of things to do and help us schedule a tour to go to Toledo City. They even walked us the the place where the Tour Bus picked us up. Definetly recommended and will love to come back and stay with them.
