We were lucky enough to get a good winter deal for two nights and, after our first night, extended our stay to five nights. Lovely, friendly, helpful staff, a comfortable room and a very convenient location as we were getting the train out to Inca every day. Easy walk in to the center of town in a few minutes.Comment of W. Andrew , United Kingdom the 2016-01-15
"Slightly Jaded Hotel, but in a convenient location"
Booked this hotel for a City Break at the end of our recent holiday. The location is good, being only yards from the Main Railway & Bus Terminal. It's also great for the historic train/tram to Soller/Port Soller. The price was rather high for what is a modest city centre hotel. The room was a good size, but was in need of redecoration etc. The air conditioning is essential, but rather noisy in our room. View from the rooms is not great! The hotel is within a modest walk of the Placa Major, Cathedral etc. I would say that all of the staff we met were very good.
We booked here as we'd stayed before and knew the location was excellent. You can take a brief bus-ride from the airport to virtually the front door. Once checked in by the helpful and pleasant staff you have the whole of Palma within walking distance (if you're a fan of walking). I'll probably book again soon.
"Five star experience"
Good location, close to station and centre Nice spacious clean and tidy room with nice pillows and king size bed Luxurious bathroom Good price, great customer service, friendly members of staff Hot water and good wifi
"Excellent Hotel, Reasonable Prices"
We had the room one up from basic - Superior' Comfortable, clean, quiet, minibar'd for your cheap shop bought wine/beer, and everything worked - although we didnt need aircon as early April so can't rate that. The service was lovely and very helpful - I recollect the main reception person when we stayed was Sonia (sorry if wrong - hotel should check 1st April day shift). She was fantastic and typically speaks perfect English - and even recommended this excellent local eatery the night before...just 200 meters...Can Terra...very lively Tapas...not for kids...try menu options as well as bar Tapas....cheap and good! The hotel location is perfect - 50 meters from old Palma/Soller station (lovely old train journey through mountains - buy cash only tickets late afternoon before you go to avoid panicky queues). And 15 minutes to Cathedral passing directly through Placa Major. The breakfast room is really nice - go early or late to avoid crowd. The buffet is good (only the UK does good sausages so just avoid them) and you should order freshly prepared poached eggs - you have to wait but persevere, they are very good. We advise including breakfast in price - its all-in, substantial, loads you up till teatime and if you are desperate, comes with Cava!
"Not a Four Star Experience"
We can only echo the recent review by NorthEast_76. We booked a three night stay in a superior room on the third floor overlooking Parc de les Estacions. The room was a good size and well appointed but, like the carpets in the main passage, they looked liked they had not been cleaned for some considerable time (we did see vacuum cleaners, can only assume they don't use them). There was a piece of plastic on the carpet when we arrived, it remained there for the three nights we stayed. As for fixtures and fittings one of the bedside lights had been repaired with flimsy tape and the chrome bathroom fittings were pitted with rust. The shower does not have thermostatic mixer so it was trial and error getting the right temperature. Breakfast was average and there was only one coffee machine for all the guests. It wasn't busy when we went but we still had to queue most mornings. On the plus side the linen and towels were clean, the bed was comfortable, the wifi was good, the staff were friendly enough and the location is just about perfect. A hotel with great potential but sadly let down by poor basic house keeping and maintenance.
