The staff at the Ritz Carlton were fantastic, very professional, accommodating and nothing was too much trouble plus everyone had a smile on their face and several staff said it was a great place to work with a lot of pride. "Spa needs updating but Hotel is Renovated"
I emphasised the condition of the spa to the about a year and a half ago and one hopes they will tend to this. Meanwhile they renovated the common areas, reception and restaurant areas. It looks and feels really good. Their afternoon tea looks just the part. The rooms are nice as you would expect from RC. Great location to everything you need to walk to in KL. They also have the best peking duck in town at the chinese restaurant. Pool area is just ok and the gym is just ok.

The hotel screams class and elegance from the entrance! The staff is very friendly and in my case went out of the way to show me my room and then even change my room because the one I was given was too big (3 bedroom suite)! The club lounge is the usual Ritz affair and makes one feel like royalty. The walk bridge connection to the Starhill Gallery and then on to Bukit Bintang shopping scenario is a very welcome advantage .... the best shopping in KL is at the doorstep!!

Personalized service, friendly hotel staff, well trained, professional and experienced team. Have been able to anticipate what I need and provided timely support in our events and during my stay. You don't have to follow up, you don't have to remind them as you can trust that the team will get it done on time according to your request. A marvelous team that is passionate in what they are doing everyday that enable them to provide world-class service all the time!
"Would've gotten a 5 star from me if it wasn't for the substandard housekeeping and the confusing concept of the "butler""
To begin with, my review will be based of my experience and needs as a traveller travelling with a family (2 adult, a 2yo and a 5yo) Stayed in the deluxe room for 2 nights from 19th of May -- 21st may 2017. Before the arrival date, i was contacted via email by Cank asking in detail on the things i would like to request eg room deco etc prior to arrival which to me showed hospitality and gives me a good first impression from the RCKL. Check in was fast and smooth from thdrop off pointwith a helpful door men and vijay, the person who helps me with the luggage. During check in i met cank in person who was a very nice and friendly lady and were escorted to the room by her. I was then told that we would have a "butler presentation" shortly. Bags arrived to the room some 30--45 minutes later. A lovely cake and a mother's day card were on the table with a nice decoration throughout the room with rose petals. I must give credit for this effort and we liked it very much:) A lady named kee wei came in later and introduced herself as our butler and began the presentation. To me the "butler presentation" was a very basic information explaining about the mini bar, expresso machine, which we already would've known and i think only took 5 mins in total. I was hoping she would explain to us about the ritz kids activities or the complimentary in room dining for child 2 years and below (which we later found out ourselves quite late during our stay while was browsing the i room menu) as i thought having the butler concept was suppose to mean a more personalised care. Anyways, i didn't really feel that way and i think that the butler button on the phone is more like an operator who transfers your call to the specific department. The health club was amazing, and so were the staff just to name a few who i can remember: baizura (who made a last minute arrangement for my kids activity under the ritz kids) putu (were very helpful at the pool, lending my husband a hand in inflating my daughter's pool float) Breakfast: I think the choice of food is good, not as variable as shangrila KL , the staff were polite but sometimes i feel that they are understaffed as we had to look out many times for someone to attend to us for extra tea or extra cutleries. But overall we enjoyed it. Now the reason why i rated this hotel a 4 star (wanted to rate it 3 initially but because the other staff was super nice and polite!) is because of the housekeeping. When we returned to our rooms at 1pm, the room was still not made and i had to call them up for housekeeping. By the time they came, my kids were actually very sleepy and we had to walk out and let them sleep in the stroller instead of sleeping in the room which really annoys me :( And i also learned later that there was indeed had a turned down service (i was actually wondering from the 1st night we were there) which was not done during our 1st night. I got to know it by accident as we need to clean a spilled milk the following night at around 9.30pm , called up for housekeeping and the housekeeping staff suddenly started to clean up the whole room and bathroom (without informing me that it was a turndown service) and there i was with 2 sleepy kids having to wait till they are done cleaning probably about 20 --30minutes. Again disturbing our rest time and leaves me annoyed. I never had any 5 star hotel missed its housekeeping before and this experience is really disappointing. As a traveller travelling with small kids, it is very important for me to have someone help tidy up the room a little bit. Shangri la would have made our rooms at 10am and turn down before 7pm as a family with small kids. Just hope that they will improve the housekeeping in the future. All in all, we enjoyed the extra amenities (the chocolates n fruits for the kids a d me) , the hotel facilities, friendly smiles and greetings (which can be seen everywhere really) from the RCKL staff, the nice room deco and the spacious clean room. Might be back to see some improvement.

All this years all my stay was very excellent.Service was superb and big thanks to Ms Mae Ling & Ms Tanzie and all the front office team. I have no complaint about the hotel and the service. Not forgotten the reservation team who always recognize me whenever i called for my reservation. Thank you so much guys.
