Lukuba Island Lodge is our private island on Lake Victoria. A small paradise in the middle of the second largest lake in the world. A short ride in a traditional boat leads travelers to an unexpected landscape, where they can enjoy unique fauna and flora. LOCATION & ACCESS: • Daily flights from Arusha, Dar, Manyara, Kigali and Zanzibar to Tarime located about 30 minutes from our boat, • Easy road access from Serengeti Ndabaka gate (1,5 hours) Ngorongoro, Lake Eyasi, Tarangire and the Isebania border with Kenya. To reach Musoma, where our boat will pick you up, the choices are either to go overland via car or fly via small plane into Musoma which has a year-round government airport with customs and immigration facilities. There is also an airport at Mwanza, which is a 245 km drive to Musoma on a well-paved road. Transfers can be arranged upon request. Guests are met in the town of Musoma by our manager and escorted to the staging point for departure on board of our boat. The journey to the island takes approximately 45 minutes.
