Situado a sólo 20 kilómetros al oeste de la principal ciudad de la isla de Kuah, el hotel Datai Langkawi está a 35 minutos en coche del Aeropuerto Internacional de Langkawi. Vuelos diarios conectan Langkawi con Kuala Lumpur (una hora), Penang y Singapur (95 minutos). Para aquellos que viajan en barco o llegan en ferry, las mejores paradas son Kuala Perlis, Kuala Kedah y Georgetown. Quienes lleguen de Tailandia pueden hacerlo en ferry desde Satun o Koh Lipe.
